- This time I've aimed for something new and chose Tool.
So, I chose Master of Puppets as if Tool wrote the song.
There were a lot of comments where many of you suggested Tool style, so here it is!

You absolutely nailed this. You should just start writing your own songs in the style of Tool as a supplement for fans who will be waiting another decade for the next album to drop.
The only thing in media with a weirder release schedule than Tool albums is new seasons of Futurama since it's been canceled and rebooted 3-4x

Soen is how I get my fix. Katatonia has been heading in a tool-like direction for a few albums now too. Leprous, they're kinda that vibe too.

You have the tool secret. Start soft, build during the middle, punch you in the face at the end. Bass brilliance, drum polyrhythmic, lead guitar clean and precise, great voice.

Great job! This captures Tool perfectly sonically and instrumentally. The only thing missing from the vocals is a Maynard scream!

The vocals are the only point that misses but overall very good.
The moment the singing started, this turned into Soen.

I'll admit, it's hard to pull off a TOOL style, because they're so unique. But I think you pulled it off well. 🤘🏻
They're unique, but each individual member has a sound and approach that they definitely have a fondness for. Once you can put yourself in the shoes of each individual member, you can at least come up with something that has the Tool vibe to some extent.
This was a pretty exceptional example though, he definitely understands this song musically and he Tooled it very convincingly.
ALWAY avoid using the term "Pull it off".
Being a huge fan of both of these bands, I think this is pretty fkn brilliant.
This really made me think, Tool is our generations Pink Floyd. Insanely talented musicians who just have to make every song insanely complex and long long long. Love that it ended up a 13 minute song, that's dead on.
You are definitely right.
Tool isn’t super complex, it’s just different time signatures. I’m not saying that to downplay tools musicianship, it’s just not “insanely” complex

Floyd when pulled apart you found is really simple but seems to have a lot going on.

I came here after watching your ZZTop does KillEmAll video and man, mad respect to you for how you approach these. There are so many "X in the style of Y" videos which are just basically taking X and adjusting minor details to sound like Y, but this here is honestly on a whole another level. Well thought-out and executed, this is a great example of actual synthesis between one artist's material and another artist's style, crating what is basically a self-sufficient piece. Honestly, simply a great thing you've done here, kudos to you and keep 'em coming!
Most of these mashups and Band/song crosses have an element of silliness to them. This turned out to be a nice piece!
This is SO GOOD! I always enjoy these videos because of the creativity and the technical brilliance, but this song also just sounds great even outside of that!
It's amazing how versatile/talented you are! To be able to pull off believable Tool is no easy feat!
This is BY FAR the best "What if" mashup on CZcams, and I'm subscribed to pretty much every channel that does them. The vocals have an ethereal quality that, combined with the music, reminds me of Mastadon's 'Oblivion'. I wish The Grammy awards had a mashup category, so you could win one for this amazing work.

This is an absolutely amazing rendition of one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands, in the style of one of my other favorite bands!
Extremely well done capturing Tool vibes. A very intimidating foray for most musicians but you held it doen nicely.
Well done! The only criticism I would add, is that it is lacking a few of Maynard's signature drawn out belts that ramp up with intensity, while the instruments also ramp up with a heavier swarm of controlled chaos. Definitely got the vibe down though.
The lack of intensity is a big miss here. Also trying to squeeze every signature Tool riff into one song...
