Are you out of money... This interviewer - there are no words to describe the way he seemed to have a hang up about David.
So interesting watching Bowie navigate this chessboard with such clarity and eloquence considering the amount of coke he was doing during the Thin White Duke period. What a beautiful time capsule, especially when considering he had already achieved so much in terms of musical genius: Hunky Dory, Man Who Sold the World, Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane. Still so much to give, too, and the world has never been the same without him. RIP, my friend.
And he still had the Berlin masterpieces and Scary Monsters ahead.
@@lithium3952 Indeed. Classics!
The interviewer took such an antagonistic stance, without much appreciation for what an artist David Bowie was.
"this thursday is nothing like last thursday but I'd still miss it if it weren't after wednesday" was the most beautiful response to this m0R0N of an interviews question about England not being the same as it was, how eloquent and quick witted was David, not to mention the most beautiful man I've ever seen...🥵🥵🥵
Russell Harty - may he hold his head in shame - Dave needed all his London Boy nous n savvy to traverse this woeful encounter 😮😂 I get you're a Ron & Russ devotee too which fits the equation perfectly 😊❤
@@michelleaboddey6386 I agree with you up until the last sentence of your comment, I am no "Ron and Russ devotee"..I am a David Bowie devotee if anything lol unless I am thick and didn't understand what you meant haha
David Bowie loves his country and is himself and well composed. I learned a lot about him in this interview. Rest in peace, Commander Tom.
What a condescending creepo this interviewer was being and David Bowie handled him beautifully.❤️
Bowie doesn't hide his dislike for this guy one bit...and I can see why.
David , Messenger to Earthlings
Wow, too bad the interviewer couldn't just have a conversation instead of repeating scripted questions.
Russell Hardy was a dreadfully gauch and gossipy 'interviewer'. He always was digging for dirt.
david bowie is great man, interesting person, beautiful soul. too bad the interviewer couldn't perceive and go with it., he conducted such an awful and mechanic interview. on the other side, bowie tried his best to make it more interesting and less about meaningless gossip, but in the end was quite bored from it. he responded so brightly to stupid questions. his intelligence always amazes me.
He was one of the most beautiful men to live
Tava tão bonito nessa entrevista ❤
nossa, ele tava simplesmente perfeito, né? incrível
My love😍
Very strange that there is no satellite delay in the conversation.
That was a very functional video of a functional interview lol
8:02 the interviewer could at least say thank you🤷🏻♀️
It's like "What did you have for breakfast?"interviewer is a bore.
Hes coherent. Rare.
Who the hell is that boring journalist? (I’m French so I don’t know)
his name rusell harty known on british tv in the 70s when he interviewed grace jones she was not as tolerant i recall
At 1:47 of this video Bowie is somewhat ominously asked if he will be wearing Ziggy kind of outfites when he comes back to England...and...he's been copying King Charles's wardrobe ever since
Russell Harty was right, Bowie was never heard of again once the Bay City Rollers appeared. The dull pompous hack.
Russell Harty was a dull pompous hack.
Ha 'the man who fell to earth, I beg your pardon' somebody should have got the hook out on this guy and pulled him out tha frame...or David B should said 'Im sorry old chap but ever since I sat in this chair you provided Im suddenly feeling terribly ill. I must go post haste but enjoy my movie! Tootles!'

I believe David looks well packed with nose candy my good man, and he was during this time
Like something out of the end of Straw Dogs... Like a rape? Or a gunshot? Or a rural Brit? What?
This guy is the worst interviewer insulting his guest Nice
