I thought of Arizona when I first started looking because I live in California and wanted to live close by in case I got homesick, lol, but I don't like the cactus and the drab colors and all. I wanted green and trees and flowers like I have here in California so I rejected Arizona and I'm glad. I ended up picking Georgia of all places. Never been there; don't know anybody there but it reminds me of where I live in California and the prices are so much better. I'm closing in a couple weeks and my walkthrough is Monday. I purchased one of those walk-in-ready homes and it is very nice.. I hope I don't get homesick because I will be stuck...don't have enough to move back. I really wouldn't want to anyway, lol! I'm sure I will like it. It will be a whole new world for me.

I bought a Pulte home in Arizona brand new back in Dec 2003 in Gold Canyon, AZ. It was in the then brand new Peralta Trails community which was considered really remote at the time.. Also used Pulte Mortgage and closed in the office located in North Scottsdale. I believe the house was around 1266 sq ft and the price was around $132,000. I remember Pulte was also building in the Buckeye and Surprise area back then for similar prices. They were also building in Gilbert, Chandler, and Peoria but were out of my price range at the time ($150-160k). Johnson Ranch in Queen Creek was only going around $90k but I thought was way too far. Stayed there for 11 years before moving the Fort Worth, Texas because of work. Bought another Pulte House in North FW last year for more that twice the amount paid in 2003. Amazing how much new houses have gone up in price in the last 20 years.

Hi Michael, im looking to buy a Pulte home in GA but have recently been seeing bad reviews. How did your purchase go with them

Hey there Patrick, my overall purchase was good, not bad, not great but good. I've been in my home for over 2 years now. One thing I'm happy about is the semi customizeable options that Pulte offered compared to some of the other home builders in the area. Our 1 year home inspection was done on time and items fixed up promptly. If you do file a warranty issue in your first year, Pulte did a good job of reaching right away to talk about the issue and setting up the correct trades to come out and address it. Maybe I should do a video of any issues that popped up during my first year of ownership.

@@TheElectrocar thank you so much… I completely understand things happen but I wanted the perspective of an actual buyer. Reviews can’t be the whole story because 9 out of 10 times the people with the good reviews don’t post anything

Hey Dan, at one point these were going for $300K with options. These homes are sold out but the last remaining ones went for closer to $400K.
