Would be more helpful to play it with a Strat and a Fender or Marshall amp, for an easier point of reference.

Is he playing through a two rock? Anything will sound good through a two rock. Should have used a fender or Marshall . You could play a boss metal zone through a two rock and it would sound glorious.
