I see foxes in our neighbourhood (England) late every night when I walk my dog: they are lovely. They always stop and watch us with great interest; my dog looks quite a lot like a baby fox so maybe that adds to their curiosity. Finnegan is truly great, nice video and well done caring for our foxy friends.

In 2008, I lost my husband in a car accident. For a bit over a year, I went to the cemetery and sat to talk closest to his body. Every single day, 2 very red, beautiful foxes would sit at least 10 yards away, just watching me. I sometimes could feel their presence and I felt to protected and safe no matter how cold, rainy or dark it was outside. Never had I tried to call them to me, but, upon leaving a few times I’d stare and tell them, Thank you. Seemed on days when I was crying my hardest, they always walked around me circularly, still at a distance. I revealed this to my Mother nearly a year in and I seriously added to her concern. Not only did she not understand how I could spend so much time in a cemetery, she was upset that I had no fear of my foxes. She was constant about how horribly dangerous they were and primal. But, I believed they were their to help protect my spirit while in it’s most vulnerable state. Saying goodbye to my best friend while still in my 30’s was the most horrific and challenging thing I ever faced for love, but my Fiery red foxes showed me love and I love them always. Funny, time elapsed and I had not visited the cemetery for 3 years, I spoke to the grounds keeper as he was doing something to a grave near my husband’s. He asked me was I looking for something because he noted that I kept looking around. I told him about My Foxes. He had tears in his eyes. He stated that he was told the same story by 2 older women and a young gentleman who lost his wife in a car accident, they had 4 young kids. He then apologized to me and stated that the Foxes were chased and removed permanently away from the cemetery because they are most known to chase and terrorize people. People naturally fear them. Management had them permanently removed. He stated that he has seen them, walking through, but only had one occurrence where he thought one would hurt him. From time to time, he stated that he sees one, but doubt it’s either of the two he used to see. He just simply kept apologizing to me. Growing up, I never knew foxes were considered dangerous, because they are so cute. And, I still say they are absolutely beautiful creatures. Foxes are not dangerous to adult humans. They fear humans by nature. I’ve no idea why anyone would say otherwise. Perhaps someone heard of a rabid fox attacking someone and thought all foxes do. I’d never trust any fox around small children or pets. I’m so sorry for your loss and very glad you seemed to get some relief through those visits.

This is a prime example of how perfect nature can be. This little guy loves her so much and he is showing eternal gratitude for helping him get better. I have a Feral feline and I rescued her after she claimed me as hers. She has been indoors as of 8 weeks old and she is 15 now. My cat was raised indoors and still acts as a feral so keep that in mind.
I really love Foxes. I have an unusual affinity for them in the Wild that I have encountered. One was VerY wet and shivering and asked me for food. I had just cooked breakfast and the Fox advanced and waited for me to feed him. I even rubbed him down with a dry towel to stop his shivering and then he trotted off. A new Buddy!
That's really amazing! There was a lovely gray fox in my neighborhood that I used to see quite frequently. The last time I saw her she had two smaller foxes with her that I assumed were her kits. I haven't seen them since and from what I've read about fox behavior she was probably moving dens. I hope they are all safe and well, they're absolutely beautiful animals.

You live in a paradise but more importantly you are an absolute saint. It is beautiful that you show compassion, love, and so much care to these animals that most if not all of us would discard to leave to die. Watching the video of you actually capturing a wild coyote is just insane how much difference this love and care makes. Keep it up, i will always support your content!

Finnegan is such a mellow boy. I hope he recovers well from his wounds. Love the sweet sounds he makes. We have a fox pair nearby but illegal to to interact with or feed them here. We also have a raccoon pair. Hope to see babies soon. Thanks for sharing your interaction.
