I like this guy. I feel comfortable with him and his approach to the subject. I think I'll buy his book.
It says something that as of 7/4/19, almost 4 months after the video has come out, that there are 0 dislikes. Edit.... Also, this guy could double for Brent "Data" Spiner from Independence Day.
Some script writers work with actors and improvise scenes with them to find the characters and bring them to paper.
The audience needs to be able to relate to the tribulations, fears, and inner conflicts of the characters. The Story recommends a better way of living life, via the protagonist's courage to take action; the audience chooses to embrace or retreat from living life in those ways.
I agree except it's not always about living a better life, as we wouldn't want to be in some of those situations it how they end up, but maybe it's more getting to live the experience vicariously through the characters.
I've been watching FC for like a year so far, mostly to see the diversity of opinion and see different views on the same people to contrast them with my own. But now you finally shown someone who really speaks on the wavelengths that "speak" to me. Can't wait for a full review!

I’ve noticed over my short time chasing my goal that a ton of ppl can tell you how to write a screenplay...yet not many are recognized for being good at it.

Writing - good writing - is something that can’t be taught or created in people who lack that innate spark. Oh, sure, it can be polished or refined in those who already have some natural talent - but either you’ve got it or you don’t, and if you don’t, you’re just going to reach the same taught level of pure mechanical averageness that I see in the vast majority of people who contact me (and, frankly, in most of my journalists).
Will the full interview be relised?
Usually, they seem to release thematic excerpts and then the full interview at some point as well. I'm pretty sure I've seen a full-length interview for every excerpt like this they release. Hope that helps!
