- War Thunder with Voice Controls ONLY. Can it be done? Real Tank Commanders mainly control the tank and crew using only commands issued by speaking, so how hard is it to do it in War Thunder? And is it realistic? Let's find out!

You know, playing a game with squad or hell let loose that has a tank crew with a tank commander with you as a commander would be VERY interesting!
I've been trying to set this up for ages but getting a crew for it is hard.
@@PanzerPaw I main tanks on Hell let loose, my experience is just playing and finding people in game who do good by you, if you get what I mean. Don’t have the ability to play squad but I have found plenty of randoms on he’ll let loose who are hella good tank players
I've played tanks on HLL a couple of times now. I definitely enjoyed it but it was in a public game and nobody had a mic. It made it a little tricky.
@@PanzerPaw yea when people don’t use mics, it does make the game extra difficult cause it requires communication to win. So I understand but once your find that group of people who got mics and do work, it’s the best fricking game ever ngl lol

A mode where each position could be controlled by a player would be so interesting. I would love to just drive once or just gunning, way more immersive.
Make it similar to hell let loose, 3 man crew. Commander, gunner, driver, then the loader is just a NPC

@@freddo5677 make it like artillery in hll, you can certainly gun and load at the same time in a pinch, but it's much more efficient to have a separate loader.
for simulator you can laser a tank and it will "requesting coordinates for allies in the area" it will say if its a friendly or not

To make things more interesting You and your friend could go into a match then you purposely die Then spectate him And then command him to do things I have done it before. It’s hard but kind of fun.

just as a tip if you play for simulator if you hit someone and no hit cam pops up it is a friendly
If you ever want to do something like this again id recommend putting in a command for turning less. Provides a lot more control when you can do either 15 or 45 degrees for example
Funnily enough, during testing, it would just turn forever until it was pivoting. Problem with it is that it's based on timing so the faster your tracks are moving, the more it turns. It's super annoying lol

one have the wasd key, one have the mouse, one have all the number for switching shell and whatnot
ngl,this is pretty dope imo,it really adds the immersion for this game if it really works perfect
One thing I will say with voice attack, it does better if you very deliberately separate out the commands. i.e. leave a big, obvious pause before and after them. A few times it ignored you I think it was because you just dropped the command while in full swing commentary mode, it struggles to pick the command out from the rest of what you were saying to youtube that wasn't relevant to voice attack, whereas if you leave obvious pauses at either side of the command, it's a lot easier for it to differentiate. Remember, it doesn't understand any meaning behind the words, only that when it hears this series of sounds, it should do that, if you add sounds before the sounds it's meant to respond to, well that could just be a different string of sounds that means something else.
As far as other challenges and such, I think it'd be interesting to see you try to play with completely inverted controls, see how much muscle memory gets ya! And I'm not talking just mouse, you gotta flap your W and S keys too, and A and D, and really anything else that has an obvious oppostie.
Yeah it was having difficulties with that. Mainly because I was doing live commentary and even with it muted, I'd still end up having to pause because it was still listening for words.

Imagine war thunder with this mode like you are with your friends and one is driver and one is gunner and you are commander

Yeah, to be fair, the LOSAT was obscured by trees. But lesson learned, I should have taken more time to verify the target. I just assumed there was a higher likelihood of enemies in that direction due to their spawn being close to there.
the reason it was so hard for you to play is probably because the voice commands are hard-coded to do exactly as you say ingame, Im no tank expert but im assuming irl the crew has the ability to adjust what they are commanded to do, suck as when driving through a street the driver will avoid obstacles without having to be told to do so. (obviously) I think this would be a cool challenge as an event or something with everyone doing it
Yep, this is mostly correct. Except for fine movements such as parking, the driver can do a lot of self correction. So, I used to just give my driver directions based on what he can see already and let him do the rest. Tbh, outside of training drills, orders can a lot more relaxed than this, especially once the crew knows their roles and stations well enough.

if you use the laser rangefinder or rangefinder you can identify if their enemy or not just telling you so you can know in future
I used to use voice attack a lot in elite dangerous it’s useful
I first used it for that too! It's really helpful and way more immersive, especially in VR.

Play squad or hell let loose and you will be able to do this but like the real life thing
you should definitely add degrees to your left and right commands so you don't have to turn left and right the whole time to adjust 😂
While this sounds nice, it definitely needs some macros for more specific traversing and angled movements and such. And maybe someday a better voice recognition system.

Hello Panzer Pew! actually you can use Tranmission Mode, by setting the speed as following :
1st Gear - 2nd Gear- 3rd Gear - 4th Gear 5th Gear.
I was using the cruise control mode for moving forward
@@PanzerPaw noo i mean the manual transmission is even more harder than using default cruise control, u need to actually change the gear based on which gear u r on. :D That's more interesting,

The gunner almost always waits for commander's orders to fire. Mainly just to ensure targets are verified properly.

The exception is basically whenever the commander is unable to give the order (out of tank, knocked out, etc.)
@@PanzerPaw Ah, that makes sense, although I guess you gotta be careful if the commander is just out of the tank. Poor commander is just having a nice, relaxing pic-nic, probably not going to appreciate someone firing a tank shells in close proximity, might spill the chutney!

you need some player who do the jop of the driver and gunner and give this real person comant and the driver can only use the driver and the gunner the gunner optiks, and you only the comander optik

Yeah the program works fine but it's getting it to work in War Thunder that's the tricky part.

You mean adjusting its position? Not really. The reticle stays where it is. Assuming it's in stabilised mode, it's the gun that adjusts position instead.
Probably you can shine in lets say, "project reality" , "hell let loose" or "squad" with some of your friends. Voice control in warthunder is junky at best and ı saw a lot of good reflex from you than bad implementation of command from computer. This is gentlemen, driver school shenanigans
