As a French, it’s kinda true. I see the US as France’s son we legally lost custody of against his father UK who we violently broke up with and divorced a long time ago and swore to ourselves to make everything possible to ruin the other. 😂😂 The US became UK’s rebellious and ambitious 18 year-old son who wanted to leave his familial home and live his dreams, unlike Canada who remained a bit longer in the household, and France saw an opportunity to revenge. The USA helped Iraq to set up its government. We did this on the assumption that Iraqis wanted the freedom to choose the leaders that they wanted which would make their country a more prosperous place. I hope that assumption was not wrong. Yes the Iraqi government is corrupt, most new governments are. Heck the US government was bad in the beginning, then it got better, now its bad again. Ensuring good government is a never ending process.
