Wish there were more airlines flying to MAA. Some of them include Delta, ANA etc. etc. that have been discontinued.
ANA used to operate in Chennai once in the 2010 to 2015 , They stopped due to low passenger count

Bro are any more airlines going to operate to MAA I wish airlines like air France Aeroflot delta egyptair united etc flew to Chennai
Unfortunately no. In the last few years there have been very few additions in terms of new airlines. We’ve mostly only had airlines suspended services such as ANA, Air Austral, Air France etc.

Which is the place for spotting
MAA is boring and unrelieving airport for plane spotting... No brisk traffic and no diversity in airlines and airframes. Routine airlines and same airframes... Sometimes it is annoying to see some airlines like Emirates, Oman, Air Asia Indigo... Monopoly of these airlines just abates our interest
Just like DTW then, it’s all delta and spirit here
But in Night times you Can spot Lufthansa and other European airlines
Chennai is losing airlines because of the lack of Aerogates,Many airlines like KLM,Airfrance have stopped thier contract in Chennai. AAI is planning to expand Trichy, Tuticorin and Madurai for many getting many airline to operate in Tamil Nadu
@@Planes585 Yep... AAI management is major setback of MAA.. Downfall started back in 2012 itself.. After covid it became more intense... At the same time BLR came up with state of greenfield airport under pvt management.. Then it became pure business. Pvt has different intense business model for BLR... They keep work on business. BLR has now become robust airport with more connectivities to serve more than 3cr pax..It is keep growing and challenging traffic of BOM..it has grabbed major chunk of Pax from western Tamil Nadu Kerala and south Telungana. But MAA under the burearocratic administration is getting impacted gradually... AAI is just running business.. Need not bother about profitability and growth of MAA.. Because anyway they are paid hefty by govt..After Covid many airlines left MAA particularly ANA, Saudia, Air Austral (ofcourse they has service for breif period but had to withdrew because of DGCA) Male.. Now Air France also left now.. They say it is network optimisation for Olympic 2024 in Paris.. They want to operate in more profitable routes. MAA load may be managed through BLR -CDG.. I hope they will come back in this winter schedule.. KLM has no service to Chennai so far..
