Love how clean these are with no marketing. The sleeve at the stem clamp is a brilliant design, and this is finally a good reason to justify 35mm. Unfortunately, out of stock...
I just ordered a set of their wheels and I’m stoked to try them, but I am a little curious as to how this stem combo will work out with only using 2 clamp bolts. I come from a BMX background and i put a lot of input on my handlebars and I’ve always been prone to stem bolt creaking. I’ve used silver and copper antiseez, multiple types of grease on the bolt heads, and always ensure torque with a Matco 1/4 torque wrench, but one way or another I still get creaks, almost makes me wanna switch back to alloy bars
Mitch need some advice. I'm choosing between 20 vs 27.5 rise of these bars. What can you recommend? Definitely 35mm rise is too much for me. ill be getting 45mm stem. Also I know SC comes with 50mm length stem if you did get 45mm here did you feel big loss with reach? Thank you kindly. -Philip
20mm was their first release, and is a majority standard for many companies. There’s a reason for that-it’s what most people want/use. Unless you have a reason to go 27.5, go with the Standard, and raise/lower your stem to fit correctly.
@@MitchOnTwoWheels quite considering the 27.5 actually for a change. Btw did you feel a big loss with reach of their shorter stem vs the one 50mm came from SC?

Give it a try! You can’t really go wrong. As for the reach, yes the WR1 stem is slightly shorter, but nothing deal breaking.
@@MitchOnTwoWheels Thanks for replying awesome as always. Sold my Tallboy4 and got a Hightower instead from Terry at Bikecafe too.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this. I’m considering the same thing!
Isn't the bag a piss take of Crown Royale?
It’s much more refined and fits things like handlebars, meter sticks, and car antennas.
@@MitchOnTwoWheels or six pack of Kokanee maybe?
There ya go!
thought I read "ExPRESS LUBE"
Haha!
Price / Weight ???
Not sure. Check the WR1 site. They have all the info.
can you tell a difference in comfort going from 35mm to 31.8mm. does it feel flexy?
Not at all.
