    You can download the free ebook here: www.patreon.com/SoapChef or here: soap-chef.com/shop-now/ols/products/foaming-soap-tablet-recipe . I don't call my version "eco", it's just a foaming hand wash which works very, very well, very mild with refatting agents, not harsh at all. I found SLSA to be very harsh in a hand product but that's because you need a high % to achieve any type of real thick foam. You can make any substitutions you'd like to make it more eco-friendly for YOU. Have fun with it, experiment.

      Me either but when you look at the ingredients on most foaming hand soap (which I did in my research), they all have sodium carbonate. I’m working on another version w/o it. We’ll see how that goes.

    Hi Soap Chef- I purchased the tablet mold, and I love it! Well made. My question is using your recipe, how much water is added to the foamer bottle for each tablet?

    • @TheSoapChef
      @TheSoapChef  Před měsícem +1

      I use 8 oz foamer bottles. 1 tablet per bottle. Fill 1/2 way with warm water to help dissolve. Once fully dissolved, fill the rest of the way with cold water

    This recipe is brilliant! Thank you for the effort you put in to make it available to everyone. I have a question, is there a way to make it a tad bit more conditioning? I have well water and it was a tad bit drying after rinsing it off.

    • @TheSoapChef
      @TheSoapChef  Před 2 měsíci

      You could try dl Panthenol or HLA or Allantoin. All are very conditioning, However, I have not tested any of these and have no information as to whether it will clog a foamer bottle nozzle.

      @@TheSoapChef thank you so very much. I think I'm going to try panthenol since it's water soluble. Also, I have it. Lol. Thank you so much for the quick reply. Have a great day!

    They come out beautiful in the mold. Is you arbor press a 1/2 ton, or 1 ton? I've been looking at the mini's and I'm thinking that would be a good size.

    • @TheSoapChef
      @TheSoapChef  Před 3 měsíci

      It's a 1 ton. We sell replacement parts for the one we use (a plunger piece and bottom plate b/c it's VERY sharp) www.etsy.com/listing/1650469465/arbor-press-59766-replacement-plate?click_key=68af37043099335046b18fb87a0b128988b5dbc7%3A1650469465&click_sum=03ed5f1f&ga_search_query=arbor&ref=shop_items_search_1&frs=1&crt=1

    Maybe an obvious question but is liquid Germall off limits?

    • @TheSoapChef
      @TheSoapChef  Před měsícem +1

      If you cannot obtain the germall powder from lotion, crafter or formulator sample shop, after you have placed the tablet in the bottle and filled it with water, you can add liquid germall plus but you will have to adjust the tablet recipe to reduce the amount of powdered germall plus

  • @scoobie69d
    @scoobie69d Před 3 měsíci

    I have not seen germall plus powder before so I am doing some research on it.
    From what I'm seeing the recommended use ratege is 0.05 to 0.2%?

    • @TheSoapChef
      @TheSoapChef  Před 3 měsíci +1

      You are making a concentrated tablet to be dissolved in water. The amount of preservative accounts for that in the end. You're essentially preserving the water that the tablet is being dropped into.

    If I made a masterbatch of this but forgot to add the Advaco Oil, is there a way to save/fix that error?

    • @TheSoapChef
      @TheSoapChef  Před 3 měsíci

      I don’t add oils to the recipe because it kills the foam and makes the liquid cloudy.

    Have tested the ph?

    • @TheSoapChef
      @TheSoapChef  Před 3 měsíci +1

      The pH is stable due to the amount of citric. It falls between 4-5 PH.
