That is the single most crazy driving I've ever seen, I'm from Mexico and I have never driven in Mexico city and this is just brutal, but cool, the road network seems to be MASSIVE

I used to live in Ecatepec between what is now the Muzquiz and Ecatepec metro lines. I actually remember when Avenida Central was being excavated to make room for the Metro line in 1996-1997. I still go back and visit family near Ciudad Azteca and your route pretty much covers the trip from the International Airport to Ecatepec.

Now I see what you mean about crazy traffic. I'm not sure who taught them to drive, but I cringed every time you had to switch lanes or try to dodge potholes. Now I'm really enjoying the rural setting I live in. lol So glad you have the iron will, unflinchible nerves of steel, and excellent dodging skills. I'll just stick to having cow traffic jams, and following a slow tractor when needed. This looks like a wild ride will be in store for us in Mexico City. lol Thank you for being able to upload this and edit it after a crazy drive like that. Can't wait for the next video!!!!!

Crazy and wild?!...trust me that's nothing, wait until he drive in Lima, La Paz Bolivia or Bogota (about Latin America, because it can get worst in East Europe or Asia like Bangladesh, India, Pakistan even China)...it's a new insane level.
However in the Valle de Mexico metropolitan area it is well known that in northeast conurbated municipalities the drivers are wild, in another areas are more polite at drive.

Hi, my experience with Mexico City drivers is very bad because everyone is angry and under pressure. In other parts of Mexico drivers are more polite and relaxed.

  • @joserobertoramirezarevalo4610

Well I drove there from visit family in Izcalli neighborhood, but you was lucky because it wasn't rush hour.
By other way...take it easy you passed over sunken sewer cap not potholes, the soil of that part of the city are over a old lake...yes is true, the why of the ripples in eje central, it' sinking, is so unstable and more with an earthquake.

You seem to be a foreigner, so I will give you a pass. Just for you to know, it is somewhat common among classist people in Mexico to look down on places like Ecatepec. Greetings from Washington DC.

@@RoadsofEuropeverreme No me siento ofendido.

Goddammit! Ecatepec is not even close to being the most violent municipality in Mexico. Can you please stop spreading this idea? (check official data on this). Ecatepec might be one of the municipalities with the largest number of people in poverty, but I do not think it is really poor in proportion to the number of total inhabitants. The proportion of people in EXTREME poverty is also very low. Of course Ecatepec has the most of a lot of things, because it has 2 million people. You forgot to say it is also in the list of the 10 municipalities with largest GDP.

List of municipalities with highest murder rates:
      elcri.men/es/municipios-mas-violentos.html
Ecatepec Is not in this list and has a murder rate lower than several municipalities in Mexico City (even the one where Zócalo is located).
