I have two corvettes, two jeeps ,so I like all content.
can't go wrong there
Poots when you change anything on the power steering stuff you should always lift the front up and put the axle on some jack stand so that the tires are just off the ground and there is no weight on them!! Then turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and all the way to the right!!! You do this to help get all the air out of the system!!! If you do it with weight on the front tires it can cause the power steering to foam up witch also has air in it and defeats the purpose of trying to get any air out!!! Hopefully this will help you out!!! After it turns nice and easy with the weight off the front end you can shut it back down take the jake stands out and set back on the ground!! This will let the fluid settle and you can double check to make sure you are still full with fluid and then start back up and turn the wheel back and forth to make sure it works like it should!!! Awesome video buddy!!!
Thanks for the tip!
Watching from Keswick Ontario love the content
watching from Cedar City, Utah!
Loving the truck build
Thanks!
Awesome build bro. I’m up in Red Deer, Alberta Canada 🇨🇦🤙🏻
Lookin Good
Hell yes she is out cruzzin
Finallllly
Woo hoo. It's ALIVE.
Just like most older things... it leaks.
Glad to see it on the road, even if for just a little while. It sounds great. Glad to see the vet mobile too. Keep having fun! 😷⚒
“Just f****** go!”
😂
I mighta let that one slip
Should record and interview them, tell them you are a auto journalist
Maybe someday. I thought it would be cool to have them say a few things about their cars.
The truck looks twice as nice outside
thanks!
Its been fun following your progress. I have a K5 Blazer that I've done a lot of the same parts. ORD custom springs, ORD extended shock package(Bilstein), ORD Crossover steering, Tom Woods driveshafts... Overall I'm very happy with the suspension/Steering performance off-road. However, I think the shock dampening could be higher for better on-road manners. Also, I went with the Borgeson 12.7:1 steering box, which feels great. I do have a bit of bump steer, but I'm told a small amount is normal with this set up. I'm curious to see what you think as you begin to drive the truck more. Keep up the good work!
Glad to hear this set up works, I'll definitely be keep everyone up to date on this.
Congrates on getting the k30 out on the road. good on you for going to the local car meet.
This is my absolute dream truck! Well done...
thanks!
Congratulations Poot looking good
if you're still doing the locations pins im watching from Las Cruces New Mexico. liking all the parts you are throwing at it. keep up the good work,
thanks!
Good to see your progress man and that your finally able to drive it!! Looks bad &ss and you’ve done good work. I’ve enjoyed watching your build from the start!!
I appreciate it!
Thats a sick truck buddy! Im curious what you can make out if it! :)
And its so American that the garage is bigger than the house itself. Truck life huh.
I just recently got myself a 1997 Chevrolet C1500 stepside and she's a beauty. She has some spots and minor issues but overall the truck runs fine! Its great to see pick up trucks are becoming more and more popular here in The Netherlands.
PS you can pin up Weert, The Netherlands on your map!
big trucks need big garages! Thats cool to hear squarebody Chevy's are a thing in the Netherlands.
This is awesome! I've been binge watching this build. Lol I've got 1980 k10 custom deluxe that I'm working on. I've acquired a k30 crew cab that's pretty bad rusted but it's a donor truck for the 1 ton axles and th400 transmission. But I believe on the 14bff I'm gonna have to relocate the spring perches since it's going in a 1/2 ton truck
Sounds like its gonna be a cool project, keep me posted!
Remember to apply the brakes about 5 times between cycling the steering wheel each time if you have hydroboost brakes to bleed the steering.
good point, I probably didnt hit the brake pedal enough.
Hey man put one of those red pins on Blair Nebraska
done
How well is the play in the steering wheel with the high steer? I have a 89 Suburban with a 6” without crossover and it sucks!
The few times I’ve driven around town it’s super tight and responsive. Remember I also have a brand new steering box and XJ steering shaft
What camshaft does the truck have? I’m building a 350 and like how yours sounds !
Mine is a 454, but I think the cam is the Comp cams 268
What transmission you got in your truck been a while and can't remember what you have. I am going to be putting my truck back together this summer and I am looking into upgrading to a th400 from a th350 but since I am not planning on going over 500hp/tq don't know if it will be worth it.
Mine is a manual, sm465.
@PootsGarage thanks for the information. Can't wait for the first video if it offroad.
