      It's not selfish if you study harder than anyone else.
      I understand now why Kobe took so many shots during games. He looked around and saw that his teammates were not putting in the same level of effort as he was, so he bet on himself and took the shots. I'm not saying it was the right decision, but I can understand why he did it, even if it would have been smarter to make the pass.

      This is the most underrated part of kobe's character imo. Theres this OG wnba player who has a kobe story where he went to her for advice on taking care of his body as he ages and stuff. Gary peyton has a story about kobe asking him for advice on his post moves. Everyone has a story about kobe asking them for help or advice. And for a guy as confident as he is, that's unheard of.

      The thing is when jordan retired he kept on going striving to be the best no matter what happened to his body. Whether winning rings with broken bones or being hated by millions he kept going he kept trying to chase after jordan until his body finally succumbed to an achillies injury which he still tried to play in until gary vitty and his wife convinced him he was done.. Wade on the other hand he took his gas off the peddle and left with so much game in him.

    Kobe embraced Jordan's "No one is gonna outwork me" ethic, he was a man of his word.. It goes from mind to body & turns man into machine, programmed to not lose & never satisfied!! We're all watching a different level of motivation from players now thank's to The Last Dance, Kobe read the script a looong time ago and learned from his peers ..
