Very cool! I'm glad both sets of parents were open with their kids from the get-go. Instead of a shock, they get a pleasant surprise. And that both families opened their hearts was wonderful. Family isn't just bio. Family is what you make.

Oh that was so beautiful. I'm glad they gave another family a chance to have kids. Because if they would have kept them all just imagine how many multiples they would have had they had twins themselves and then they said they met are triplets. That's pretty cool if you ask me. I want another baby 😥

Oh my god this made me cry so hard. Growing up I lived in an extremely conservative Christian community that absolutely ABHORED in-vitro and thought children born that way were the spawn of the devil. I remember two of my friends, twin sisters, who were conceived this way received a lot of harassment in high school from students and teachers alike. I could never understand how anyone could be so cruel, and watching this story brought many of those painful memories flooding back. I’m so happy these people lived with loving families
That’s sad that these twins were harassed, but the bigger issue is why does anyone else know of the circumstances besides the immediate family? It’s really no one else’s business.

This all began when one of our Bible teachers spent the day discussing “the evils of modern society”, covering issues like abortion, the death penalty, contraception, in-vitro, etc., and the twins were offended and spoke out. That led to them receiving harassment for months

Thats funny because I'm a twin and born that way. I was never harassed but me and my twin never really told anyone about it. But now that I think about it it is nothing to be ashamed of

This could be a more heartwarming story except for the headings under the Donors are so glaringly incorrect. The Donors should not be referred to the “parents of at least 5 children”. The process of embryo donation relinquishes the parental rights of the Donors. The parents of the donated frozen embryos are the recipients and are the parents of the children. They raised the children which is exactly what parents do. It is insensitive to incorrectly call the Donors the parents. Also, the option to donate is most definitely not one of the “latest options that are available” as stated in this story - that is also very incorrect. Even this story makes that abundantly clear since the children are 18 years old meaning they donation took place two decades ago. The option to donate embryos has been available for several decades. I’m a fertility lawyer for the last 21 years so I’m just trying to clarify these things. Otherwise, this is such a beautiful story of the many gifts this technology can bring and thank you for raising awareness of how IVF creates beautiful families. IVF technology is under attack in this country and we need more stories like this to help protect all the future patients who desperately need this technology to reach their dreams of parenthood.

I love this and I happen to be in that same boat, I have embryos frozen and can't do much anymore at my age. This makes my decision easier. My son is amazing and I wish I could have the rest but I hope to bless somone else. I just need the option of knowing somthing about them always

These kids are extremely blessed, the far majority of IVF embryos go destroyed or unused. Even donated ones seldomly are adopted. It's sad to think about the millions of potential people who never got to see the light of day.

I’ve always wondered if my wife and I’s embryos will be donated or if we will terminate things. we will do IVF soon and I’m excited for our miracle family to grow. No idea on the embryo donation. However, this is beautiful. It would be odd to find kids who resemble my wife and I but do not have emotional attachments to us. I heard of a story where a sperm donor also met all his kids and some call him by his name and other call him dad but the beauty goes far beyond the last name and the parent. I think the beauty is in the siblings gaining that strong connection with one another.
If I'm not mistaken, the donor couple believed what God would want was to donate the embryos because most of us Christians believe life begins with conception. As you can see, they chose life (Deuteronomy 30:19). I wish you so many blessings and truly hope you will be blessed with a child!

Specially not after going through the process and seeing women who can get pregnant while smoking or on the streets and see my wife who has never done a single drug or even drinks! struggle with fertility. It's a bridge we will cross later I guess. Personally, I see that I would have a hard time seeing a boy or girl who looks like us not call us mom/dad. But I agree, all life is sacred. These are decision we will consider. We would have 20 kids if I could afford it or my wife could bear it, trust me.

my friend was at one point, wanted to sell her eggs. the clinic gave her medication so she would ovulate more eggs while she was in college. she did it once. fast foward a couple of years, she herself became a mother to triplets.

I watched someone so close to My Heart that went though IVF 4 times and it not work out for them 😪😪😪 It broke My Heart because they would of been amazing parents they raised me more than my parents. So after I had my 1st child at 20 (I couldn’t do it until I had my own child or children 1st) all I wanted to do was be a surrogate for them but that unfortunately never happened. So at 22 I donated my eggs to 3 couples and the rest of the eggs where frozen so someone else could have a chance at raising a child or children.
I hope I helped even just one couple have a baby M, it would be awesome if everyone had at least one child with that egg and I hope that they all are having the best life full of Love, Laughter & Compassion
