Today is national fruit cake day, so I thought I would take this opportunity to finally try german marzipanstollen. I found this vegan one at Trader Joe's and I grabbed it so fast haha. I am also eating some lebkuchen gingerbread along with it (both dipped in chocolate). These are both perfect for Christmas time and just the holidays in general! I really hope you enjoy as much as I did!

So fun to see you try these! Stollen is a staple for breakfast & brunch here in the Netherlands around Christmas time & easter. We usually have it with just some butter/margerine and scoop out the marsipan and spread that on the slice as well :-)

I would but I can’t consume coffee so I wouldn’t be able to try tiramisu!😭But I’ve been wanting to try of version of it for so long!
@@cambriadevries What is the reason you cant consume coffee? If it is because you have a high sensitivity for cafeïne, you could maybe try making it with decaf coffee :) I love coffee and everything coffee flavoured but also got a really fast heart rate, sweating, anxiety and all that not so fun stuff. Now i just drink decaf and its great!

Its very popular here in the Netherlands and america tends to merge our cultures together and call all of them german i feel like.. so maybe thats the problem? I have also never had one that is that covered in powdered sugar though. It could also be the area you live in? Because my dad has lived in Germany for around 2years (heidelberg) and they had stollen there though

these "Stollen" you're eat are the cheapest quality here at the supermarkets, you should try a piece from a traditional bakery from the city of Dresden, these are the worlds best search for "Dresdener Christstollen" if you not like the raisins, you can try the "Mandelstollen" with more almonds, my favourite...

Its all about calories in vs calories out. She doesnt eat like this everyday + she mentioned that she works out a lot. Also, what she consumes here is around 2000-2500 kcal which is a pretty normal daily intake for someone, especially someone who is active. So if this is her only meal today its not even that crazy :)
