I agree! When I was a child I could never make it past this level. It wasn't because it was scary, it's more because I just couldn't figure out how to finish it. I still don't know what happens throughout the rest of the game. I guess it's time to find out! However, the atmosphere of this level was amazing. Seriously great level design.
It was quite disturbing when those imps killed that demon in the cage. Did they eat him?! Ha ha I like it when the demon guy is spouting ineffective threats at the end.

This and other levels are a really pain to play. Brutal jump and grabs, like you have to be an acrobat to play this game, and some brutal puzzle solving. If you want an amazing exploration game in a very weird world try Shadow man on ps1.
@@toprak3479 TR3 is at least at lore more logical. The level design in most of TR3 is pretty solid. I like Chronicles, but there are so many stupid moments, such as the whole rope swinging / crowbar shit in this level...
Having problems with the slanted walls that lead to the grab space at the 4:00 mark. I try over and over and on the last slant that she needs to grab, she just won't. I've tried dozens of times now. :\

in 1998 i was always stuck in this Old Mill stage and in 2004 i understood what was the treasure.......this is my one of the favorite game

Which is the key that she jumps rope in the PC version? in my game it just falls down even the rope being at the top.
When holding the control button so that Lara hangs on the rope, press the jump (alt) button and she will jump.
