I'm fortunate enough to be intercalating at Cambridge Uni next year and whilst I was researching, I never really found any videos on how to do this.
I hope this video inspires and encourages a few of you guys out there!

Thanks for the amazing video! For your research proposal topic, was this mostly given by your supervisor, or did you come up with your original ideas/plans? I am still in my first year of med school so don't really know much about how to start research, especially for a postgraduate degree and it feels daunting to even apply. Would really appreciate it if you could give me some advice.

For my masters, my supervisor came up with the topic, but he wanted my input as to what I’d like to do. So would recommend investigating the research area and decided your interest area that aligns with there research

Thanks for the great info! Are you able to make another video focused on your project eg your research proposal, lab work etc?

Do you have an email to ask a few questions regarding applications?

Thank you so much for the information! I'm interested in intercalating, and I was wondering what kind of grades they expect you to achieve? I know they put a "minimum of a 2:1" for postgrad acceptances, but how high should I be aiming for as a medicine undergraduate student? Also, is it possible/ harder to do this as someone who doesn't study in the UK?

You should try and be in the higher percentiles but as long as you’re doing wel and hVe some research it’ll be okay

Thank you for this video. Would you say intercalating is much more competitive than applying for undergrad?

It depends on what you’re applying for, it varies massively

Great video! Do you know if graduate medical students at Liverpool uni can intercalated too? Good luck with your research 😊

Hi! Yeah, from far as I’m aware, you apply like you would any MPhil so being a grad would probably be a help rather than a hindrance.
