    Why did you put the light switch behind The swing of the bedroom door? It’s so important to plan ahead all aspects of the room

    In the Caribbean that is a turn job for for inspector. Not only because of the amount of breaker on the circuit. But the size breaker u should use a 12-2 or a 12-3 light on a separate breaker from the outlets. Or use 12- 2 for the outlets circuit an 14-2 for the light. What if something happens to outlets circuit the light would cut out as will. We in the Caribbean don't that or should I say I don't do that I separate the lights from the outlets

    Very helpful in understanding why my light switch turns off one outlet and not the others.

    I gave you a thumbs down because you didn’t cover any info about the codes. Like receptacles need to be within 6 ft of the door, etc. also it’s not best practice to put your lights on the same circuit as your receptacles.

      yes. you'd have to use 12-2 wire tho

    You should never put light switch behind the door. The door is a left hand swing. Your last receptacle should be your homer in start. I’m sure it’s a mistake and you know better but people watching the video to learn how doesn’t know better . With that said maybe look over your work before pisting.

    Do you have to wire the light switch on the last outlet, or can you add it in the middle of the run?

  • @rezasri9525

    it is not true because the power supply of lighting and outlet should be seprated

    What rubbish, In new Zealand we would call this is a joke. We use 230 Volts AC 50 Hz, (Phase, Neutral and Earth are run. I would use 2.5mm2 for Power points and 1.0mm2 for Light Circuit. So 20 Amp RCD (Residual current device) CB and a 10 Amp RCD CB. Box is called the Switchboard. Mains are run underground into House etc.

  • @frankstallcup8720
    @frankstallcup8720 Před 3 lety

    Totally not how you wire a bedroom, 5 receptacles sufficient for that bedroom, bath receptacle on own 20 amp circuit, bedroom on own 20 amp circuit, 3 bedrooms can be put on sane 20 amp circuit, all 3 bedroom and bath lights on 15 amp circuit,
    You have no business instructing the public on how to wire a house

      @@andygonzalez7012 20 X 120 = 2400 divided by 3VA = 800 square feet, I can put as many receptacles as I want within 800 square feet area, meaning most bedrooms are less than 200 square feet, I can put 40 receptacles on the circuit if I want, there’s no limit, the bathroom receptacles need there own circuit, lighting is always put on a separate circuit from receptacles, so you don’t have any dimming issues, through devices plugged into the receptacles, that’s 35 years of experience, from a person who has built over a 100 custom homes and wired thousands, can’t remember how many but an average of 400 homes a year
