I would highly recommend the book Klader! by Nina Ericson. It was published in the late 80's, and while it is not specifically a knitting or crochet book, it is about design choices, individualism in style, diy, and thinking outside the box. I have owned it and given it away so many times, and it's usually available for pretty cheap on better world or thrift books. It is the ultimate inspo!

Ohh I love that you talk so fondly of Kutovakika, she's actually the first knitter I've watched on CZcams and got me thinking it was really nice to knit watching a knitter talk about her knitting 🤭
Thanks for this video and all the good recommandations!

I started following her in 2019 when I was getting into photography and then she posted a video showing her sweater collection and my jaw dropped. I had been knitting on and off for years (just really small and sad scarves). After I saw that video, I immediately made my first sweater. She’s so inspirational 🥰

I am working on the Storm Hoodie in Viking Knits. Apparently that book is notorious for having patterns that are very vague. I agree as I had to improvise in one part and it was so stressful LOL but so far so good! I am making it for my husband and I am so close to being done!

Sometimes following a tutorial from a book is so hard for me. But I’ll definitely check some of these out!!

I definitely think “Knit This” (the first book) has the easiest to follow patterns.

These books do intrigue me. The amigurumi one doesnt tho. Im not into stuffed anything. Although a pillow is an entirely different thing to me, lol. Love pillows but the hubby is not so i have to keep that on the downlow. That yellow sweater does nothing for me, sorry. Mabe if it was differently designed, mm now thats a thought. Make it my own way, like a lightening strike perhaps? Ooo, or a highland cow look? At any rate, im saving this vid for when i order books again❣

About Lasse. You pronounce the E. it's a short e, but pronounced like the Swedish ä (but short). Hard to describe in text haha!!

That’s really helpful! I was able to look how to pronounce that Swedish “ ä “. Thank you!!!

@@BreathingYarn Actually , think of the word latte, like the coffee drink latte machiato for example. Now instead of saying latte you say lasse. It is not an ä, but a short e. Huggs from Germany. 🙂
