I love the fact that comics like Mind Mgmt, Wayward, and Rat Queens have board game companions now. I don't know if I'll get the chance to play any of them... Max, I'm surprised you haven't played JAWS, which is a great intro to hidden movement. One player is the hidden shark(!) and up to three players control the humans trying to find it and kill it. Quite fun and you can find it for under $10!
Backed the Kickstarter of Mind MGMT, a couple of games in and we really like the game. The training mission is easy and short enough to let new players in. And the shift box really helps with replayability. Plus i am huge fan of the comic, so i really appreciate all the attention placed in the art and in every single component (and hidden messages) of the game.
Great play through and review 👍. Curious about whether you’ve managed to play again since your review? I haven’t played any hidden movement games and I just can’t decide!! But more and more people keeeeep talking about this game!
@@bearhustler Mind MGMT is truly something special and thats coming from someone who loves hidden movement games. I also am a big theme gamer and the theme does NOTHING for me, so that speaks to how strong the mechanics are.
I believe i've played a time or two since review, but certainly not as often as I'd like. It isn't going anywhere, that's for sure, but it hasn't seen the table super often (though.... nothing has lol)
@@Tablenauts Sorry if it sounded like I was suggesting that, I wasn't ! I just meant Ive seen a lot of reviews of this where its uniqueness is trumpeted and then the reviewers admit they've not tried many other HM games. This is a great playthrough.
Lovely overview and fun to watch gameplay! :) Could you share some of your thoughts on the components quality (mainly the boards and tokens)? Would the box be able to fit all the cards in sleeves too, or could one run into some storage issues then?
@@Max-pj9km thanks for the reply! I actually got the game a couple weeks ago and I gotta say, this is one of the best stock inserts I've seen so far. Things stay where they're supposed to stay, setup is extremely quick and the components, as expected, are top notch. :)
Whitehall Mystery is very underated but I think hits many of the plus points of this in a game that's cheaper and easily playable by nongamers as well as gamers. Also if you're not into this comic the art and themeing can be confusing or a turn off.
Play and own all three, Mind MGMT is the best and its not close. I love Fury but the games tend to drag. Whitehall is a classic and good entry point but is outclassed these days.
@@mickelboy182 I've played Mind MGMT a few times since my last comment and each time I play it I like it less and less. For me it's cold and mechanical and I'll be going back to Whitehall Mystery.
Yes indeed! The app launched last week actually! It allows you to play against the App who will play as the Recruiter! Only the training mission is available right now and we hope to have the full game up before the end of the year!
Thanks for trying it out!
Thank YOU! :D
THIS GAME IS SO GOOD!
It really is! So much fun.
I hope I can try it one day. Gameplay looks interesting.
I can’t believe just how good this game is
It really is an absolute homerun!
So glad you like it!

I agree on all counts! JAWS is on our list. We have a copy- we’re probably saving it for another themed week in the future ;)
Can't wait! "Did somebody say SHARKS?!?!" {Shark locks window} 🤣

Yeah it oozes source material, that’s for certain!
What's the hidden message?
@@grog3514 There are way too many to list! Seriously.
I think we were watching Doolin's brain melt.
Can confirm.

Highly recommend Whitehall Mystery. Cheaper, simpler and currently available. This looks good but it's not as unique as I think some are making out.

I'll happily try out Whitehall Mystery! Looks awesome. But I do really love MIND MGMT. No shilling here!

Unfortunately unsure on the sleeving! The components are great though! Of course the deluxe is even better!
Yes, sleeves cards fit into the box

How does this compare to Whitehall Mystery?
Unfortunately Raul I haven’t had the pleasure of playing Whitehall Mystery! Hopefully someone else can jump in and assist. :)

This better than whitehall mystery or fury of dracula?
I think it’s much better than Fury but I haven’t played the other.
Maybe Doolin can answer but I have no experience in either realm. :(
See previous responses, Whitehall Mystery is great
