SC Tornado Drill: My Thunderbolt 1000 (WITH BLOWER) First Full Run, Attack Signal 3/7/18

Recorded on March 7, 2018. This is a video of my Thunderbolt 1000 (single phase model) running full power for its first full run (with blower, no rotator) on the 2018 South Carolina Statewide Tornado Drill. This drill was conduced at 9:00AM ET. Me and my father have been working hard to get it assembled and running for this. It worked!! I got this Thunderbolt 1000 from Brendan Williamson. The blower components, I don't want to give out where they came from yet (it's private for now). This siren can be heard over 10 miles away! I believe this siren is the loudest privately owned fully working Thunderbolt around. This siren's chopper motor had bearings and brushes replaced by Jeb in 2017. Unfortunately, the motor winding/armature have signs of wearing out and won't last forever. This siren was facing to Greenville County actually. All neighbors (who are home on the time of this) heard this siren! One neighbor came here after this test to see what's going on. My father did the full explaining to the neighbor about this.
*Sirens heard:
My Federal Model 2T-125V (Alert Signal)
My FS 2001-130DC (Alert signal, running on low batteries, was running on a Bluetooth timer.)
No county sirens heard, the nearest county siren doesn't work and another nearest siren is too far to be heard.

Noice, I Went out to Winnabow, NCs 3t22 (it did hi-lo) for the drill! i went with some of my weather radios to record the tornado drill but found NC does not even tone the drill as a tornado warning! they did not issue tornado watch, and they toned the drill as a Required Monthly Test

Sorry to burst your bubble but those never existed.
I would not recommend wiring the blower to your Goodman heat pump as that could cause serious damage to the system if done incorrectly so id suggest getting a separate breaker for the blower which im sure you have done now.

Very cool test! The thunderbolt is my favorite siren. What chopper level is it on? I would recommend a chopper setting of 4 or 5, that way, it sounds nice, can still be heard for miles, and will give the neighbors a lititle break too lol.

You could put that 2T chopper in there and have yourself a C-series 4/5 port. Which I don't think many were made.

1000 are also single toned so they are alot higher in pitch aswell

You can’t turn the 2T into a 2; the stator would still be 4/5, and it wouldn’t be running at peak efficiency. Also, his 2T is 125V, the Thunderbolt is 240...I’m no electrician, but I’m not sure if that would work. Jeb would be the one to ask.
Siren Hunters the motor voltage wouldn’t matter. The only thing being changed is the chopper
Siren Hunters Swapping out the physical chopper makes no difference whatsoever, it's not an electrical component.

can you run the thunderbolt 1000 on regular house current (120 or 240 VAC?) both siren and blower?
I have an idea for this siren connect it to a 5v boat battery and then connect it to the ac that is in the video and connect it to the moter
I wanna do something like this, I might be getting a 1003 from vander NC or if not that a 1000T/A/whatever from Asheville NC so I wanna do something similar to what you did like warning your neighborhood and county and such.
