I personally enjoyed the show no matter how much it was drawn out or the wasted potential. But a problem for me was just how much Sonic likes to joke around. Like the scene where Shadow says “If knowing you has taught me anything, there’s always another way”. That honestly is just an okay message. But it’s right after when Sonic says “Wait, is that a compliment?”, and he just goes from sad to happy immediately. The way I think they could have done this scene is like this. When Shadow says that nine will pay, Sonic sheds a tear and turns around and says “What’s the point?”. Then it would cut to nine doing his thing and then when we get back to Sonic and Shadow, Sonic is just sitting down and Shadow says “You’re just giving up?” Then Sonic says “Well what do you want me to do? Look around, ghost hill and the shards are gone, as well as all of hope. There is no way home now, it’s gone forever.” Then he is just crying as all the times when he was selfish flash before his eyes, then he would put his face into his hands and say “I’m sorry Shadow, it’s all my fault”. Then instead of Shadow just saying what he said, he would walk up to him, crouch down and put his hand on Sonic’s shoulder and say “Listen, if teaming up with you has taught me anything, it’s to always have hope”. Then Sonic would look at him and with a few tears and ask with a sad voice “Are you just trying to cheer me up?”, but Shadow would tell him that he is telling the truth and Sonic having hope in all of his previous battles is what lead him to victory and that they both need that now. Then Sonic would probably hug Shadow while saying thank you. That I think would have been the best scene in the show, do you agree? If not that’s fine.
Also, another message of this series is about relationship and paying attention to each other's wishes, for example, Sonic never listened to his friends' words, he didn't listen to Nine's words about what he wanted, and sonic was only looking for his own wishes, and this caused His friendship with Nine was destroyed, but at the end of the Sonic series, he realized his mistake and apologized to Nine because he did not pay attention to his wishes...And Nine apologized to Sonic because his anger and hatred had controlled him.
Season 3 is the best and worst season in sonic prime
I loved the Sonic Prime Series! 😃💙
First the critique, Then the suggestions. Sonic Prime is classic "true believer modernist" in its story telling. Tell me you don't have a lot of story without telling me you don't have a lot of story. How you ask? By making the gimmick of the show annoying instead of entertaining. I get it's supposed to be about disharmony in a group 🙄, but the MANY instances where Sonic has to RE-explain himself to the alternate versions of his friends why he dissappears slows the story DOWN too much. The resulting frustration he gets into DOESN'T make me root for him, it makes me feel like the writers were padding his dialog!

I couldn't make it all the way to the finale. And then to find out they ended the show by turning the one character Sonic had ANY regular contact with into the bad guy? Sigh...IMHO, some of what could have made the show's concept land better with ME was if the alternate versions of his friends SHARED memories of Sonic's intervention with eachother to go with this ending. Would have made Nine's change of heart more believable too. A sort of "good guy" version of the Chaos Council. Now the Astral celestial projections of Sonic's friends "DO something ELSE" besides annoy the viewer by guilt tripping Sonic! Now Sonic can work TOWARDS getting the dopples to work WITH him, not against him. The worst misses for ME are the missed opportunities.
Its so strange how they acknowledge the existence of floating spinning rings that Sonic collects by touching them, but its pretty much the _only_ time in the entire series they even have them.

The show was good. I love the relationships between the characters. I especially love Sonic's character growth.

Sonic's character portrayal in sonic prime is not my favorite (he's kinda annoying since he never stops talking) but I still enjoyed his character development in the show

I think they needed 1 extra season but well. It is what it is. They definitiv did the Best and tbf the final season bering the final battle was propaly the Best decison they came up with
Yes this is good. I wish you also mentioned shadows roll in the story. He starts off basically the show theme same as nine. And only became the voice of reason because of his experiences. And in the end I feel he learned a few lessons from sonic as well and we got to interact with him giving up his own self pride.

Sonic Prime has such a good message, with good characters, flaws and development. It's just the script itself that feels kinda underwhelming. I do agree that they dragged out the battle agaisnt Nine WAY too long. The fighting is so cool and all, but instead of that, we could've had so much more for the characters, which are the main core of the show. The ending for Nine's character especially is what bothered me, I was hoping that he would learn that his isolation is what has been driving him mad and that letting others in wasn't so bad. But the only person he lets in is Sonic, and Sonic leaves forever at the end. I wish we could've seen Nine grow more as a person and especially befriend the other characters who always dissed and mistrusted him.
I know it’s not the same, but I thought it was fitting that it was all the residents of the New Yoke City shatterverse, including Nine, that came together and finally took out the Chaos Council. They shared a common enemy that they had to deal with all their lives, so it brought them together.

I mean I didn't really mind it if Nine stayed all alone, ever heard of people that live alone completely fine without mourning for anyone?
Because no one helped Sonic as much as Nine, nine repaired Sonic's shoes and gloves with his tech, Nine saved Sonic's life several times by hacking Rusty Rose and destroying chaos sonic, also Nine saved Sonic from chaos Council in the sixth episode of the first season, and all Nine wanted was a life and a new home, but Sonic didn't pay attention to his wishes and this made Nine upset and their friendship was destroyed, also Sonic betrayed his deal with Nine and Nine become so angry about this and caused this war, the main culprit is Sonic who was an idiot and selfish.
People tend to look at the bad stuff but don't appreciate the good. People get tired of basics but It's messages like this we needa here, friendship goes a long way and that's why I love this show. The relationships are so sentimental and just personal feeling. The story wasn't as bad as people made It out to be, no matter how many fight scenes they were all amazing, Season 3's animation stepped up a bunch and It does genuinely deserve to be noticed. Everyone has their own opinion but for me Season 3 wasn't bad not rushed by any means. The "3 Seasons" aren't 3, they are one big Season 1. That's what It was, and I think that's why people hate the story so much, they see It as 3 seasons but In reality It's one big S1. Sonic Prime was heavily miss understood.
The only thing that is missing is the 24th episode. Also, Green Hill takes place in South Island.
I agree with your points. I especially like how you showed how the power of the prism corrupted all those who came in contact with them: Thorn, Dread, Nine, and the Chaos Council. I hadn’t thought of that.
If the theme of the show was friendship, Nine, someone isolated with no companions at all, being the final villain makes perfect sense.
I only wish we could have gotten more from this series and that they would have tackled hard hitting questions and explained how everything worked. For example, at one point in Season 2, Nine was able to bring back Green Hill along with Sonic’s friends. So what does that mean? And where was Eggman?
Now that you mention it, Sonic’s friends got three variants of each other not including themselves, but Eggman got five for some reason. But they never give us that reason.
Alright, now I’ve gone on a tangent with little things when we were originally talking about overall themes, lol. And in that sense, I think your analysis was good. And I hope we get to see these characters (especially Nine) again in the future.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Yeah, the Chaos Council is tricky to me. I've been trying to figure out what they could mean. I was commenting earlier how they could symbolize different aspects of Eggman's personality, different stages of his life, or both.
@@Ranni I like both the personalities and parts of his life theories. And yet, I also like the family dynamic they have, despite their pride never admitting to that fact.
Perhaps the concept and results is good enough to allow them to be their own individuals. But if they all knew they were just aspects/time-shifts of someone else, then they would call their own existence into question. So they don’t question it. They don’t give an explanation because doing so would ruin the fun. As for the Council, they might be fully aware, and choose to ignore that bit of their shared past, or at the very least, never speak of it in front of outsiders.
0:25 - Sonic Prime is a Sonic series that was inspired by a two-part episode of My Little Pony called The Cutie Re-Mark. In that episode, Starlight uses a MacGuffin to mess with the spacetime continuum, creating alternate realities, one where there is a war going on and Rainbow Dash has a prosthetic wing (RD's voice actress also voices the different versions of Tails in Prime), and another where there is a jungle setting and the ponies became more savage.
That's what Sonic Prime is from a behind-the-scenes perspective. The show took that concept and elevated it, further exploring the possibilities of the alternate realities, as well as adding more of them.

I think the best thing about this show is the animation, and not only the fighting but also the expressiveness of the characters. It’s pretty rare for Sonic or Shadow or most characters to be so expressive in the games so this was a fresh break. That might be why season 3 was so dragged out tho, bc they were having way too much fun with the fighting

The "not just the things, but also Sonic's relationships with everyone is his universe" angle is so nuts but so Sonic. A perfect fit for even game Sonic.
Another thing I noticed is that each of the main three Shatterspaces represented three ways where the balance in nature is out of whack: New Yoke, a world where Eggman won and managed to destroy the nature completely; Boscage Maze, a world where the nature was left to grow beyond moderation; and No-Place, a world flooded with endless ocean (not sure what caused that one). Ghost Hill is simply a remnant of the original Green Hill, kinda like a ghost being the remnant of the dead, while The Grimm could be like a Purgatory of sorts.

and since the grim started to decaying in the grim the purple shard can create a new gateway of rouge being a beautiful charming bravery princess ruling a kingdom and big and froggy being fire and water breathing and kind dragons while trying to get the purple shard from a wizard variant of eggman
when the whole prism was back together it created a new gateway with all the gateways colors on the outside into a superhero world of sonic and his free being superhero’s fighting off an eggman being a supervillain
One thing I appreciate is Sonic's character growth. Let's just face facts. Sonic is sorely lacking in this department, especially in the games (an issue that hopefully Ian Flynn will fix). So when something like Sonic Prime or the movies decide to give him character growth, I'm all for it. A Sonic with character development and growth would be the best Sonic we've ever had.
I can confidently say that I learned a lot from watching your analysis videos. I’ve learned how to do deep themes, messages, and concepts. In the future, I plan to make movies and animations.

I think your analysis on what this show was about is spot on. In the aftermath of Season 3 and the creators clearly ending the show with no obvious return of the other characters, I found myself trying to analyze what happened to be at peace with how the show ended. My conclusions on what the show was about and why it was "Cannon" pretty much align with your analysis in this video. I don't think the show was ever about any of the other characters, or even Nine (as much as I might have wanted it to be). The whole thing was character development for Sonic and the impact that he has on the world around him, and how much he needs those in his life. Even Robotnik is important in this show as they break down his character into what I consider his core traits with each member of the chaos council representing a trait, or perhaps even stages of his life. I just wish we had more closure than the rushed 6 minutes that we did end up getting. I feel that the show should have taken the entire last episode for closure, and had a small post credits roll to show everyone thriving and to leave things open to either be closed there, or return. I agree that the show had a lot of wasted potential, and it really hurts thinking that all those characters were just there for the purpose of developing Sonics character, never to be seen again.
Honestly, I agree with most of what you have said in your previous videos as well. The major exception being that I actually enjoyed Season 2 as much as I enjoyed Season 1. I'm just sad that we had such amazing characters fleshed out through the show to be seemingly thrown away now. I really hope we get to see more of this, but sadly I don't think we will.

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the theory that the multiverse completely blipped away by the end. It would've been nice to see some kind of post credit scene showing these variants and these worlds are still there despite Sonic being away. I've also tried to think about the significance of The Chaos Council. Do they represent different aspects of Eggman's personality or different stages of his life? Both? When I come to a more conclusive answer I might make a video about them. And I like your perspective on how the show primarily focuses on Sonic's arc. It was an opportunity for him to grow. And for all the show's faults it was at least it was able to complete his arc pretty well.
You've got such a way of really delving into the themes of the show! The Prism as a metaphor for Sonic's (fractured or intact) friendships and the themes of power really tie together the whole show, from the way you described them. I really appreciate your analysis of them!
EDIT: Oh, also, I mentioned it briefly in my comment of your season 3 review, but the palm trees do technically reappear in season 3 - in Nine's lab, as something Nine specifically made for Sonic's sake. Even when the world is falling apart, even when the universe itself is losing its sense of unity and identity, at its core remains the same offer of friendship that's always held it together.

Want to know why I forgot about that tree? Not because it was left behind once Season 2 rolled around, but because I couldn't take in its significance with how often it was shoved in my face in its debut episode. Despite arguably being the strongest of the three seasons, that was my biggest issue with Season 1 of Sonic Prime: over reliance on flashbacks.

What zi like about this series that it took a darker theme in the Hero archetype story and just like you said the writing of the story sells it.
I don’t care what people think about the show. All I can say is that they did an awesome job with this series. But to be honest, by your explanation, it reminded me of the Marvel Cinematic Universe series “What If…?” The ending did remind me of the series finale of Dreamworks The Adventures of Puss in Boots.
100% agree with everything you said. Your videos about Sonic Prime always amaze me. I really hate the fact that people were thrown off by Sonic's portrayal in this show and hated him, but they never realized that the whole point of this show was to show the character development Sonic would go through and become a better character after learning from his mistakes. Because of this portrayal, people only pointed out the flaws of this show and kept on bashing it. I think we as the viewers should try and understand the message and point of the show rather than getting mad at the slightest thing that goes against our preferences. Don't get me wrong, this show definitely has its flaws such as the cliffhanger ending, some unanswered questions, repetitive battles but it's still an amazing show with an amazing message. Sonic Prime has a really special place in my heart, and I really enjoyed watching it :)
i feel like the actual meaning could be "think before u do" along with trust. It's literally showing you how sonic didn't listen and one wrong move can change your whole life, sonic did not think about the outcome of smashing into a magical shard and his whole reality changed (this is my opinion)

Maybe unrelated, but great job on the bgm ! volume was not distracting and choices were tasteful. Especially loved the Koco theme when you were talking about the World Tree and later, when it comes back, followed after a pause by Second Wind to talk about Sonic's sacrifice, that was delightful.
Also good job on pacing with the clips, pauses and stuff !

Thanks! Yeah, it would be interesting to see if the writers of the show intended to make this allusion or not. Either way, it's fun to have this kind of perspective even if it was never explicitly intended.
Despite it's flaws, I kinda wish we would get a second part (a season 4,5,&6). It seems pretty straightforward too, write the explosion at Season 3's end as another attack on the Paradox Prism, wreck reality again, but this time, keep the shatterspaces at the point they were at, ala-Captain Rose and in noplace. Introduce a few new shatterspaces, but also keep the prime characters intact, letting us interact with the og versions of these characters. so, with bosscagemaze, noplace, new yoke city, combined with prime, 2 new worlds, and the grim, we're sitting on 7 worlds. Nine did not end the story in a great place, and it's likely he's still be villainous in any follow-up. Then, seeing eggman prime interact with the shatterspace eggmen might also be interesting.
The other major theme of the show is listening and yes, the way that effects friendship.
Sonic is a terrible listener, we know that. Him not listening cracks the mountain and leads him to destroying the Prism. It leads to him and Nine being captured, to him not hearing that Shadow is saying Nine isn't Tails and they're not really friends (instead hearing Nine isn't real and getting defensive), to him being at odds with the rebels more than once, ignoring all of the red flags that are named Captain Dread, and to him not acknowledging the sheer number of times Nine practically screams at him that his trust has been broken and he's suffering for it.
Nine starts out being drawn in by Sonic and the appeal of friendship, planning everything around being able to have a happy future with him including things he said he likes. He stays determined to convince him right up until the fallout on Ghost Hill where Sonic accidentally says he's not real. After that he's still listening, but he doesn't want to hear what Sonic has to say because he's hurting and Sonic isn't listening enough to acknowledge it.
Every little victory that Sonic gains throughout the show comes from him finally listening to and understand most of his new friends. It's why he goes back on the deal with Nine, how he knows to let Rebel take a turn at planning, how he comes up with the plan to give then the edge against Nine, and how he finally gets through to Nine again.
Because if you can't trust your friend to listen to what you're trying to tell them, can you actually trust them at all?

I feel like sonic wasn't being a jerk. he is clearly a neurodivergent person in this series, we can see that throughout, for example in the way he describes his friends and enemies at the start of the show. He just didn't really understand how he was acting towards his friends because its difficult for him to see things in a different way (?). I'm similar with this sort of thing. sorry for my bad explanation.
at best, two things, I wouldn't say Sonic was being a jerk just overly cocky since they always run, and two, the ending, I just wish they showed what the other Shatterspaces were up to while Sonic talks to his friends and ends with them eating chilidogs to end on a good note, potentially Nine opening up to others back on New Yoke, other than that, I would say it was a pretty darn good show all things said despite it's issues

I don’t know if this is an Easter egg or a very well known fact or not even true at all in Sonic prime but the actual entrances to the shatterspaces, (the actual portal part of the gateway) is shaped like the shard located in the shatterspace

I liked stuff in Sonic prime,I just wished it spend time more time with character growth and arcs instead of fighting and also that it wasn't cannon.
In the show sonic's universe split up in multiple alternative realities leaving behind only a blueprint of his former world. So I thought a major concern in the show would be that once the Prism was completed the other shatterverses would cease to exist since they are just pieces of his original world that are needed to rebuild his old world.
Finally, somebody understood 👏
To be fair, we would've been disappointed back when the show first came out since originally the episodes were supposed to all come out at the same time.

I like this analysis, and agree with the interpretation that the themes presented are deeper than what may first meet the eye.
However my main issue with the show is that the writers & Sega firmly assert that these events are canon to the games. It just doesn’t sit right with me that Sonic’s character would regress to this much of a jerk or that he would be this irresponsible, after everything that’s happened from SA2 to Unleashed & Black Knight. Or the fact that he was confused about Flickies & a robotic version of himself.
I think you WERE overanalyzing at least in some parts.
But whether that's the case or not doesn't matter. Even if the creators didn't intend for certain dynamics and philosophies to be represented, they still were. It's even possible that they had a certain mindset when writing certain characters certain ways that, itself, was a result of these philosophies being true.
For example.
They may or may not have intended for Sonic giving up power saving the universe to directly contrast with everyone else trying to horde and contain power only to royally screw up in multiple instances. A lot of it could be coincidence on their part.
But the fact that they viewed these characters that way in every single instance while viewing Sonic as coming around to do the opposite simply because it's Sonic and he's the hero, that alone naturally plays out the very dynamic. It didn't have to be written on purpose. It still happened.
It's a thing that occurs once in a while in fiction. Where, instead of being in complete control of everything in the fictional universe because we wrote it, sometimes things just happen because its reality dictates it will just like our reality does for us. Fiction, sometimes, acts as a living thing.
Great comment! I agree that a lot of deeper themes in Sonic Prime are more likely just coincidences. As I've learned more about storytelling and human psychology, I feel that a lot of art comes from our unconscious and things manifest themselves in works that we ourselves may not have consciously intended, but have been brewing in the back of our minds.
I wish Shadow was in it more. But I liked it.

I still don’t get those opinions people give for the series’ second and third seasons.
You know 20 years ago when I watched Sonic X, I would have never imagined, not once in my life see that Sonic would go from amazingly cool to a panzies presentation. It was just appalling. Sonic has always embraced his arrogant personality without remorse, thats what made him charming. You don't believe me? Look at all the series from the 90s to even the late Sonic Boom.. It's getting worse. Not only did they stray from the personalities but the story as with sonic was too boxed in. Just for once I'd like to see a story that goes somewhere and they can't even do that right. When Ben Hurst wrote for the television series, it had a vision and now he's rolling in his grave while Flynn crashes Sonic into the ground as well. "Friendship" has always been well defined with sonic shows, the issue is that the writers are just lazy and saw an easy cash grab. This is unacceptable.
I left the show wanting more, but in a good way.
I hope it gets a season 4 that would focus more on the slice of life side of Sonic while also answering some of the unanswered questions. Would be cool

This show had so much potential I’m not saying it was bad because I would definitely watch it again but it started out so good then had a rushed ending i’m not mad I’m just disappointed 😔

There is still so much plot hole in the show end like we see sonic was going to his world via the void but the green chaos emerald was still lost but for an unknown reason it was back in they universe and that big blue explosion IS EXACTLY THE SAME ONE OF WHEN SONIC BEATED EGMAN ROBOT ON THE GROUND IN THE FIRST EPISODE WHEN EEGMAN WAS SPEAKING ABOUT TAILS
I actually thought Season 3 was a fitting ending. With Nine having all the shards, control, and power at his fingertips, there was no other way to confront him than an elongated fight. To drag it out as long as he needed, try and tire Sonic out and then capture him to complete his "Paradise"
With each fight, Nine grows more mentally unstable as they just won't quit. It isnt until hes brought to his lowest by his own actions where he realizes through Sonic's help that what he's doing is wrong, but he still has a chance to make things right.
Everyone deserves a second chance.

While a good comparison, DBZ is WAY WORSE in that regard. Like it is its own category in how much they draw our fights for many many many many episodes.

Power is not this evil sentient force that convinces you to do bad things. When people claim that power corrupt it is an indication on how in denial they are.
They believe that people are not evil without a reason. They believe something makes them evil. So they blame drugs, the devil, power, video games, television shows etc., for the corruption of society.
Blaming power is like blaming a gun for a mass shooting. Who do you really blame? The gun or the person who uses it? The knife or the person holding the blade?
The rock or the person grasping the stone? The alcohol or the person behind the wheel of a vehicle Blaming power is like blaming spoons for making you fat. Even people with no power do bad things. The same people with power do good things.
Your positions in society do not define who you are, but your actions do. You can own $228 billion, or be a government figure or an actor, and still be a humbler person.
Evil has no gender, no age, no race. Anyone is capable of committing evil. Regardless of race or gender or age. Poor, Rich or Middle Class anyone is capable of committing evil.
So blaming power is an act of ignorance to deny reality.
Despite the show’s less than ideal ending. I enjoyed the time I spent watching it. I especially enjoyed seeing a good portrayal of Shadow in a long time

This show could have been so much better than it was, but it *was* pretty good. I suspect that certain Sega mandates got in the way of a truly spectacular ending, though.
I didn’t catch onto the theme of power corrupts and how there’s one character in each shatterverse that acts as the major antagonist. I also like that each one focuses on a different original character. Thorn Rose (Amy), Dread (Knuckles), Nine (Tails). They were the biggest obstacles in their respective verses.
As for the symbolism of the tree and its sudden irrelevance in seasons 2 and 3, maybe enough about it was said. That clip of Sonic acknowledging what it is that keeps them all together was the final piece of that part of his character development; to listen to others and learn patience, understanding, unity and coexistence. And I wanna emphasize “that part” because I like that his arc isn’t done there as I think that’s more so season 1. He still has a little ways to go in truly accepting these people not as alternate versions of his friends, but as their own people. It was pretty horrible to refer to someone else as real right in front of the person you didn’t mean to imply is fake. Especially after saying that you’re best friends! (I love that part)
Thank you this review. After two great seasons, the third season made me feel disappointed enough to not wanna think about the show, even though I really liked it. Honestly, I was just getting ahead of myself thinking Sonic was really just about to disappear and just wanted Shadow to take him to see his ghost friends one last time before he did. That’s really what I thought was gonna happen lol. A real sad ending. But no. Undo everything with no consequence. A shame. But thanks to this review, I actually like the show a lot more now with these perspectives. Super fun.

Because this was Sonic's fault,Because no one helped Sonic as much as Nine, nine repaired Sonic's shoes and gloves with his tech, Nine saved Sonic's life several times by hacking Rusty Rose and destroying chaos sonic, also Nine saved Sonic from chaos Council in the sixth episode of the first season, and all Nine wanted was a life and a new home, but Sonic didn't pay attention to his wishes and this made Nine upset and their friendship was destroyed, also Sonic betrayed his deal with Nine and Nine become so angry about this and caused this war, the main culprit is Sonic who was an idiot and selfish.

"sonic's been a complete jerk" - You mean him just being Sonic and in Prime is actually his less "jerk on another level" characterization wise, to the point I can't even call it being a jerk, just he has tunnel vision which is really how Sonic was and marketed in the 90s.
You use a lot of Sonic X imagery in this vid yet that is THE most jerk oriented Sonic portrayal next to Fleetway and Sonic OVA.
Sonic Prime's Sonic is a kindred loving spirit and willing to understand and admit when he's wrong.

the ending just made me loose hype i did enjoy nines arc while it lasted but i feel liek prime could have been better like sonic just not wanting his old home back and making him look like hes the bad guy of the whole thing honestly nine tried to fix the grim with the shard energy while sonic just felt like it didnt matter he wanted green hill to me honestly he used nine as a pawn and lied to nine about using the energy for the grim yet the sacrifce sonic made just could have well been prevented if sonic just agreed with nine and gathered the shards and explain why he needed to brign them to ghost hill and try to convice tell him its goign to be ok ( we could have had a better ending aka acceding the grim plan and explanations to the fixing of the prism)

Prime commits the worst sin of any TV show: it's pointless to watch.
It promised a lot, delivered on nothing, and was reset at the end and rendered moot.
Because it had to be "canon", it couldn't spread its wings and go on to something bigger, and we all know this setting will never come back, as the games never acknowledge extended media.
A full year's worth of investment for nothing. The only Sonic media I'll never come back to.

Sonic Prime is just a rushed story which writers did only 8 episodes of, but realized they needed 3 seasons so they streched it as much as Netflix could've allowed.
To me it's just a kid show which was needed to promote Sonic even more along with Sonic Frontiers. The worlds are lazy, Sonic's character is boring, the casting is just 5 character copied into several alternative outfit versions.
Everything is just so small and it doesn't have too much of an impact and the show is kinda overrated, I assume it might be forgotten as time goes on. I'd rather rewatch Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, at least it has the most charismatic version of Eggman and Chaos Emeralds saga is way more epic than Prime's season 3 finale
I read that the team behind sonic prime originally produced 24 episodes and didn't realise netflix were going to split it up into 3 separate "seasons" - an animator posted a picture of their wrap party and mentioned that he hoped they would get a season 2 for prime
@jdavis230 I think Sega and Netflix is the perfect match, their passion is to screw up their own projects, they should marry. Not that all other Sonic cartoons weren't screwed up by Sega, but here they go on another level with something they shout to be canon and quite a big event.
But there are 23 episodes. Since the first episode is 44 minutes, it’s technically two separate episodes put together.
