Because fact is that she didn't care about sanitation nor cared about curing the ill as she instructed the ill-equip staff to reuse needles and syringes. When it came time for her to receive medical treatment, she was put into a state-of-the-art modern hospital that offered the best care money can buy. Mother Teresa is modern day hype peddled by the Church and media for publicity. Now that India has an over population problem, her preachings about anti- family planning and contraceptives like pills and condoms left many ignorant for years as they blindly followed her preachings.
If she were alive, I would like to ask her why is suffering is " good " ?

You know she lived among these poor. Sometimes the facilities may have been poor because they operated off of donations, that is why they were ill equipped. You say funds mysteriously disappeared? To where did this money go? To be spent on her lavish lifestyle? She was dirt poor! She was able to get better treatment at a better hospital because she had the means to travel to a better country, and she it was very important to her organization that she get healthy because she was running the ship.

Institutions of indoctrination, and spared little to nothing getting real medical help to people who dearly needed it. No that money was spent on fancy churches, not clean hypodermic needles. She was a fanatic. In her own words, "suffering brings you closer to god" she truly thought suffering was a good thing. And her intention was to make people suffer. She accomplished that. Very much so.
Look if your a guilty catholic, there is no getting through to you. I'm not trying to be iconoclast for no reason, if you are a sensible modern enlightened soul, really, suspend your life long programming to think of this person as "a modern day saint!" And truly take a critical look at what she did, and more, how she thought. She was a dangerous relic of religious fanaticism, and had nothing, NOTHING! On the peace leaders who's religious dogmas didn't take predominance over their message. The likes of MLK, or Gandhi, the list could go on and on and on. Humanitarian helps people with whatever they can, helping starving with food, sick with medical care and if needed providing shelters. Teresa ignored medical care part almost entirely, even though having ability to afford that. She was spreading Catholicism, not best care for people.
