Anybody know what a gather step is? Yeah, learn it
theres no such thing as a gather step. He made three steps its a travel. You dont see MJ or VC doing three steps when going for a great dunk
filpan I don't know much about basketball lol, but yeah I thought it was a travel.
Only certain players can "gather" step and not get caught, PG is one of them, in any other instance this is a travel, it's just become the norm in todays league.
filpan Actually literally ALL the players do this in the NBA, yes, even MJ and VC, watch some of their tapes and you'll see three steps on a two legged dunk.
it would have been a gather step had he not picked up the ball with both hands. Since he did, however, the ball becomes dead and every step after he picks it up counts, so technically did take 3 steps, so stop trying to defend him with that bs.

I just thought he didn't get up all the way in the actual game he did it in. He really just has long enough arms to get that to go. I'm not really trying to compare him to VC but.. VC actually got up there. Granted, VC never did it in a game, but I still think he would have gotten a lot higher than PG24 did.
VC def got up higher and made it look way better.

it's a half VC. Vince was 6 inches higher and windmilling down into the rim where PG is reaching up to it. Still better than anything Bron pulls off in a game but it needs some work.

LeBron is a way better in-game dunker than George anyday of the week. The guy bulls people over and finishes strong. Bron's vertical is also higher than Georges.
