    Lessons:
1: Be a fly on the wall. Detach from emotions and use your brain to think about the tactical situation.
2: Be humble when you are in charge as ruling with an iron fists encourages others to rebel rather then work as a team.
3:Trust your leader. They are in that position for a reason. as long as they have good intentions and are humble themselves.

I have a grandson who wanted to be a SEAL since about age eight. He did everything he could to prepare himself until he graduated High School and enlisted. He washed out after BUDS due to injury. As he recovered he filled his time becoming a Corpman. His recovery prevented a return to the program. He is happy with his present Rateing as he went into the Navy knowing not all make it, but there are other rewarding things to do.

One guy I was impressed with greatly, and never forgot his admonitions was a Navy Seal instructor who said about the job of killing an adversary were his words.
" Don't get to a point in this business where you love killing or as a counter point, really hate killing an adversary".
"It's a job, Don't love it or hate".
    "Stay neutral emotionally".

My son went to BUDS in March 2022. He was second in his class at Basic training and promoted to E3. He was in the top 30% at Prep and more than passed all his PST prior to start of BUDS. On day 5 of BUDS he got a head injury doing surf passage. While he was not unconscious he had a full array of concussion symptoms. He told the BUDS instructors but they told him to suck it up and keep going. His performance quickly degenerated and they put him in a group of low performers so he could get more "attention". 24 hours later after hours of log and boat PT he collapsed unable to stand or walk. The instructors refused to send him to medical and told him his only choices were to DOR or pick up the F'ing log...no med roll for you boy. Unable to stand they took him back and made him crawl over to ring the bell. He then went to medical several times but the Seal Team medics blew him off and refused to send him to the hospital. Long story short he was reassigned to the Seabees. The Drs at his new command immediately sent him to an outside neurologist who then sent him to a brain surgeon at Cedars Sinai. He has been diagnosed with a Cerebral Spinal Fluid Leak (CSF leak) in his brain. He is scheduled for surgery in the next week or so. The reason he was unable to stand after log and boat PT is he had lost most of his CS fluid and his brain had sucked down into his spinal column causing paralysis in his legs. It is yet unknown how much brain damage he incurred over the 24 hours of BUDS he endured after losing his brain fluid from his head injury. Seems the brain does not fair well without a cushion of CS fluid when doing boat and log PT. I will NEVER forgive the BUDS instructors for forcing my son to crawl through the sand with brain fluid leaking out of his nose to ring the Damn Bell. My son in not a quitter. He deserved better. BTW--this is same set of BUDS instructors in command when that kid died in Phase I back in the Spring. I hear they have since been canned and most lost their Tridents So....just once Jocko I would like to hear he tell these kids the truth. Not all of the BUDS instructors walk on water and not everyone who rings that damn bell is a quitter. Yes...I am a totally pissed off Dad.

Team is everything. Its formed by a deep respect and understanding of what each member not only brings to the team, but the level of commitment brought with you. Leave EGO out of the equation. It will sabotage any chance of success and lead to blame and self doubt. Execute as a team without the people and focus everything fails.

If you enjoy topics about mastery and masculinity, I invite you to explore the videos on the Mastery Order Channel. Challenge yourself with some ideas about manhood, explore your masculine potential to the maximum and become the kind of man you would admire. We can only better ourselves together, as men among men, so I invite you to use what I share and, of course, share your own thoughts so that others can also benefit from them. All the best to you!

So i want to become a seal one day (i still need 5 whole years till i become an adult) and you might say 'bro you have 5 years chill" but i want to prepare as much as i can (for physical of course) going to the gym and doing exersices. I see some improvement over time and i hope i will accomplish my goal. Respect to all the military guys in the world that are doing the best for their country

At the 0:37 I realized that instead of focusing on too many things like going to the reserves and going to college, I think the right path for me is to just focus on my training and focus on my job. After some period of time if my fitness is at where it needs to be and my future coach feels that I am ready then I will reach out to my recruiter and contact her again about getting a Seal contract.
