      Not all Chopin has to be played softly and tenderly. We conclude that because he composed in Romanticism. Nocturnes are soft and tender, but his Etiudes should be played with strength and vigor. There is a Polish pianist, Krystian Zimerman who played Chopin, when needed, with energy that, I imagine, Chopin himself played with.

    • @yaptrirainbow3728
      @yaptrirainbow3728 Před 10 dny

      @@GraceCanadaful I don't think as u wrote, I don't care if Chopin was belonging to Romanticsm time. I prefere to feel the notes after the notes and the harmonies created to retrieve the spirit that animated Chopin creating a work. I can feel deeply, so I like when players are searching to avoid to follow the music measures to stay with the flow of the notes. When u listen Rachmaninoff playing and the other interpreters u discover a difference. I wrote about this topic a "hard poem". So is not a question of soft or hard, is to feel the rightness of the note to make feel. I send my best greetings and if u want to read that poem I can send u.

    Magnificent mesmerizing interpretation from Trifonov, Fisch and the excellent orchestra. I adore Daniil and every opportunity to see and hear him is a rare privilege. There is only one other pianist today who I rate higher - Maestro Grigory Sokolov (the greatest living pianist). Sokolov and Trifonov are the only two pianists that I travel all over Europe to catch.

      3rd, not 4th. Still, a scandal. Perhaps the judges felt that it was politically correct at that moment to have a female winner and an Asian 2nd place. Certainly Trifonov, even at that age, was infinitely superior to both - probably the greatest pianist the world has seen in a hundred years and he can only get better!

    Oh I see Tel Aviv. Despite what some people say, I think this is an above average reading. Trifonov has a beautiful touch. There is always that loud part midway through the 1st movement, the part in parallel octaves, where almost every pianist gets off the track somehow. But he aced most of the other "traps" in this piece. I enjoyed it very much. I like his playing.

    Le grand pianiste que j'attendais!! Et quelle harmonie toujours renouvelée avec l'Israel Philharmonic Orchestra!
    Avec Daniil Trifonov, la musique devient une expérience de vie pulsante, étonnante ; les émotions jaillissent de leur carcan d'affectation, de convention et d'exagération pour enfin se vivre libérées et inventives ; elles deviennent irisées, élémentales, multidimensionnelles, tout en restant d'une infinie justesse et délicatesse.
    Technique, expressivité, bien que parfaitement maîtrisées tout en étant audacieuses, ne se prennent pas comme moyen et fin. Les codes musicaux deviennent des outils au service d'une expérience humaine sublimée.
    La musique classique sort de son cloisonnement parfois affecté pour s'offrir à l'écoute sensible de toute personne douée de cœur, d'histoire, de désir et de sensibilité.
    Avec une élégante audace, Daniil nous conte des histoires, de manière fine, puissante, paradoxale, avec une fraîcheur généreuse, sous le signe de l'entièreté, de l'abandon de soi, du plaisir et du don. Notre écoute même participe alors à la musique qui naît de ses doigts, guidés par son cœur, si ce n'est son âme.
    Son humilité, son exigence et son naturel ajoutent au cadeau immense qu'il partage avec ses auditeurs et les musiciens qu'il accompagne.
