When Geralt says, "hard to say what killed him." He means which injury caused death, because there were so many injuries on the corpse. Could have been blood loss or blunt force trauma or extreme shock stopping the heart.

Lol! That's funny to me, cause I've said before that out of all the games I've played, this is the one I would choose to live in. Yeah, there's monsters and war and such, but the lore, music, scenery and magic are enough for me to overlook the bad stuff.
Edit: lol, I should really wait till the end of the episodes to comment.
To answer your weapon question, if I did live in that world, I would want to be proficient with a bow, mostly for hunting, but for protection I would choose a war hammer. They aren't as heavy as a lot of games and shows portray, and this world has many people decked out in plate armor. So imo, blunt force trauma is the way around that. I'd also probably keep an axe with a nice long beard on it for hooking limbs.
And you mentioned liking solving mysteries in this game. Don't know if you saw my comment on another post, but I had told you that watching you play made me pick up the controller again and I played through the dlc's which were amazing! Hearts of Stone was phenomenal and I can't wait to watch you take it on. Blood and Wine took some time for me to get into, but it was pretty good to. Lots of crime solving between the two.
And you sided with Cerys as did I. Kinda wish you went with her brother instead, selfish I know, only cause I was interested to see if he would have claimed the crown.

Also you can only hear your own footsteps because you are playing as a witcher. Multiple times in the game people say they didn't hear you approaching. But stepping into icy water or onto snow is a different slory all together.

I normally don’t give advice. But this is a helpful tip. Meditate for at least 2 to 3 days when the merchant has no money and in three days, they will have their coin back.
If you have to much weight you can drop the saddles they are heavy and u don't need them
I choose Cerys because I think she is right about investigation and she will be better king. Btw, when you decide to dont get involved, Svanrige became a king.

The armorer at the Castle you went to with Yennifer for the wake sells better saddle bags, they add 100 carry weight. He probably has a better saddle and blinders than you have at the moment also.

This game, Ghost of Tsushima, and Red Dead Redemption 2 are easily some of the most gorgeous open worlds in gaming. Every 5 minutes is a new screensaver quality panoramic view.
I've never picked Hjalmar. His expedition to kill the giant got at least a dozen guys killed yet he insists on bragging about killing the giant. The giant is only dead because of Geralt.
Nobody died because of Cerys. Cerys was right about the guy being cursed and it was her plan that saved him. Under Cerys, they may be able to become a country that isn't so reliant on all manners of piracy.

In a cave close to the hang mans tree there is a lantern you can puck up that is much better than the torch.
Finally able to get back to these witcher videos, and I’m so glad you enjoyed this side stuff. Once i finished it all up, it really grew on me and the decision to put cerys just felt so right. Onto the rest of the series!
Your worry about merchants not having enough money will go away when you start paying for master witcher gear. You're gonna make those master craftsmen rich 😂
As a Polish person, I recommend trying to play this game in Polish, while, of course, leaving the subtitles in English. I think the Polish language might better capture the folklore of that era and be more authentic. But that's just my opinion, haha. Great let's play, by the way! I can relive Geralt's choices and watch his decisions again.
The thing about witcher gear is there are so many tiers to it and half the fun is exploring caves and stuff to find the diagrams, and even after you craft the master level gear MINOR SPOILERS there are several armor sets you can find in Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine which are better than the master gear, and beyond those there's a grandmaster craftsman in Toussaint who makes the most amazing gear in the game. So even if you craft the "best" gear, there's always better gear to find or craft.
Witcher gear also looks badass if u get the right ones and they all have about 4 up grades

My first thought was a bow, but I realized I am not strong enough to properly use anything. I would be monster food for sure.
Although... maybe I could use flammable stuff to lay traps somehow, but I wouldn't be useful in a combat scenario.
1:50:15 Cerys. Someone with brains can send someone with muscles to where they are needed, so you get the best of their strenght.
With only muscles you will probably lose all your manpower in useless endevours, just like Hjalmar did.

I've seen you run passed at least 2 Witcher gear diagrams in about 5 minutes(they are usually hidden). I hope you do some Witcher gear treasure hunts. Best looking and strongest gear in the game. They can all also be upgraded multiple times. When they are at the highest level they give you a set bonus at 3 pieces and all 6. (4 armor and 2 swords)
Make that 3 diagrams in 10 minutes now.
You can switch on enemy upscaling so your lower level quests enemies are a bit more difficult then lower levels.
The master craftsmans always have more money than regular merchants. So the woman that wanted the tools you now have will be able to by most of your stuff also the Dumpling making Elf in Novigrad has a quest to unlock a master sword smith(himself). He can make the highest level Witcher swords and the Woman that works with the Dwarf at at Crows Perch can make you the highest level Witcher armor.

There are transmog mods for Witcher 3 if you really want them. The different armor sets in the game are all fun to me though. I like having a new get up every now and then.
EDIT: The witcher gear isn't going to make that much of a difference in your difficulty. Even upgraded to Grandmaster level, it's not going to impact your experience.
The Witcher armors look the best also. The School of the Cat and Wolf look the coolest and they are not game breaking the just have cool bonuses and the pieces all match. So you don't look goofy 😂
I think you're going to absolutely love the DLCs if you love the mystery quests and such!
If you must drop items you can check if you have heavy things other than swords and armors, like maybe saddles or something.
Once a Fiends third eye starts glowing red it can make the sky go black. That is the same type of creature that captured Anna to take her to the Crones.

Maybe you can collect witcher gear of camera and if something interesting pops out during collecting those have it in video. I know some of these are found alongside witcher contracts and some you randomly came across while exploring.
Nothing is optional in Witcher 3. You simply do it all.
If you are thinking about picking a witcher gear set to start crafting, I recommend looking at pictures of the Grandmaster tier for each set. While the stats are a bit important, as each set favors a different playstyle, i'd say the drip factor is way more important ;]

I also picked Cerys but I think it’s obvious she’s the better ruler, I don’t think i’ve ever seen anyone pick Hjalmar.
Had the developers made Hjalmar a little bit smarter he could’ve been a pretty decent ruler, but he kinda gets portrayed as a dumbass who doesn’t think things through and thinks the only solution is a weapon.
It’s unfortunate because Hjalmar is actually a really nice guy and he could’ve had great potential to be king of Skellige if the developers had make different decisions with his storyline.
The higher level, the armor and swords are the less damage it takes for wear and tear
Also all the Witcher gear has set bonuses at their highest level.
Thats probably my only complaint with this game, the enemies for the most part are too easy to defeat. If they dont pose a challenge for ya then theres no need to get the witcher gear which will only make the game easier. But to be fair, this game isnt about the enemies entirely but its main strenth is the storytelling each quest has, that and the graphics is still breathtaking.
I giant Warhammer would be my personal weapon. May help damage things that have thick armor.
Instead of dropping armor/weap for weight, if u have to, then the skin from animals are quite heavy.
Also make a fiend decoction. It adds carry weight when you drink it.

Was about to type this week ago Wedn. but no disrupt after last episode, i took care of one Thing, so Accord to that video. I also thought the same way-[ ~ quote' I don't need that equipment, even if it's very Good/for experience - it is . but i though't it's boring. I was wearing few different equipment that i Remember until later in Skellige ..You're experience is most Important, i don't expect someone knowing that people watch him play like me¥ (I'm perfectionist ..< everything sorted out&keeping some items ^you can't sort all because after some time it resets, but i knew the few times i used Stash [composure]. I just wait for every episode kindly, keep myself real. Found you'r channel on recommended on that one Sunday night in March(i lost it on yt history later) but you did Keira Hunt quest on one video. I want to say Thank you for all your work you'r putting, doing great content💯 I was about to say that you've merely scratched a Surface, but it was in April , you'r progressing game quickly, but still so much to see. Roach takes the path the least resistance. So if the road slowly curves right and there is also a hard left fork. He will take the subtle curve to the right. I had a pony when I was a kid and he would always take the steepest path. She loved to run up hills.

Once you are over leveled for a quest you get far less Experience for completing it. Unless it's a main quest.

there's a skill to buy to increase your luggage weight, not sure if you've bought it already.
I also recommend treasure hunting, the Witcher school gear is the best in the game, plus you can upgrade it few times (every school)
ALSO you can make greater stones (which you put into weapons and armor) at the master blacksmith. Aight sorry for girlsplaining I don't want to be annoying, great content bro ❤️

Actually i prefer Haimdal as a king bc Cerys made the isles peaceful place and in my opinion Skellige is Viking nation and it needs all this viking brutal stuff and if u pick Haimdal they are still Agresive Vikings who kill all Nilfgardians.
