Thank you so much for your method of installing my battery tender without having to take off the relays and battery cover~! After adding a necessary washer because of the large electrical wire ring I had to get a 1/4 inch longer battery negative screw to be able to connect the negative side of the battery. All worked just as you said so this was the most helpful tip video on my 2022 Rebel 500 SE ABS yet ! Kit

I have the 2018 rebel500 and already has the SAE connecter. However the power is always on if I connect a usb. some tutorials say to connect to headlight cables so the charger is off when the bike is off.
That would work. In my case I only connect the usb and use it as charger whenever I am riding not when it's off. I primarily use this to charge my battery during winter season. Thanks for reminding us not to use it as charger when engine is not running.

Have you had trouble in the rain?
@miguelvelazquez7658 I normally don't use the charger when it's raining to be safe with electrical grounding.
