    I think it's about time that they upped there game and look's like they have, I just ordered one yesterday and can't wait to get it in my hands, thanks for sharing this information with us, Alan from Luton 👍

    Similar results to mine considering variations in testing equipment. I’ve tested two different UV5rh models with different results. They’re on the bench at the moment for spurious emissions tests across the harmonic frequencies.

    Just ordered one, comes with a 771 wire and I added a 18inch cs tactical as well.
    Should be a nice stepup from the 88e I started with.
    Thanks for the S&T marra 🤘

    Nice one! Is quite a powerful little radio considering it is outputting between 6 and 7 watts throughout the range. Like you say, wouldn't want anything more than that close to my head.....my old brain is scrambled enough! 😲😜 Would like to see the Quansheng stuff....I have one of those in my collection! 😎😎😎👍 Great vid! 😎

    Hold the radio in your hand as per normal usage when measuring power output. Basics.😉

      +@gowerdave please explain why. I have done both and both show the same results. I do it this way in the video as it's easier to record.

      @@ham-fam Fair enough if you achieve the same results. Holding the radio provides a counterpoise/grounding of sorts so I have read.

    Which is better baofeng triband UV5RH 10 watts or quansheng uv k6 multi band 5 watts?

    • @ham-fam
      @ham-fam  Před 8 měsíci +3

      IMO - UV5RH for general use - Quansheng for playing with Firmwares and Modding (but dont transmit without testing output)

      Try holding keypad 8 when powering on the radio. Then try 9 as well.

    It's disappointing to see such low power output on 220 mhz.
