CRF450R Shock Spring Swap / Swingarm & Linkage Greased

2022 Honda CRF450R rear shock spring change along with a swingarm and linkage bearing grease job. The shock was removed from the bottom instead of the top since the swingarm and linkage bearings were going to be greased at the same time.

Is it necessary to use a vise in order to mess with the shock spring?

Nope, don’t need a vice. All you have to do is loosen the pre-load rings and take the retainer off.
