K9 is what I did for 22 yrs. Still miss it. Cool video. Demos for kids were always fun and Suspects became very compliant once MWD Lando and I arrived.

I have trained k9 officers for many years and I never get tired of watching them work. I'll go on record to say I'd never want to be the bad guy lunch feeling those bites as I've had to be the training suspect many times, I can't say I enjoyed that part even with protective gear on as they hit hard and fast like a pissed off bull . I'll gladly leave the bad guys to providing the k9 officers for their tasty snack😂😂😂

East Lansing Police I am going to become a Police Officer when I grow up. I might also join K9. In my local area (in Michigan) K9 Officers have a button on their belt where if they press it, it opens police car back door where K9 dog sits. I’m gonna first start off doing road patrol and if I like what I do, I continue and if i want to move over to K9, I will go to K9 school.
Please in your next video, tell how to be a K9 Officer.

Hailstorm K9 to become a K-9 Officer you have to be a police officer first for 2 years I think. After you pass 2 years with good searching or finding things. And get certified by the police department from training then you can try to get certified to get a K-9.

Just found the channel. Great video, thank you for the service you provide. Question, does your department have the K-9 door release button the officers wear on their uniform ? Read a story a while back where that uniform release button saved an officers life.

I'm not a police officer. However I've had 4 German Shepards.Not all at once. Now I have a Belgian Malinois purebred. All my dogs are for protection of my family. Wonderful animals. I live in Chicago 2019 and crime is high.So yes I am sorry to say that my animals can not be pet by any other person because the are trained for face and neck bite. The state is unfair with gun laws so I must protect my family some how. The police in my district love my dogs.The bad guys stay away Great job with these dogs on a cool video.

Well dogs have 2 different scent , upper and lower , lower is when dog can follow smell on the ground but the upper scent when dog can smell it just from the air around is the best for tracking, specially if s person went over a river

Firstly, I do not think you read my comment, I said that they would not have a dedicated SWAT team, not that you wouldn´t be able to find a “SWAT” officer. Which is definitely true because only a handful of police agencies in the US have SWAT teams, but you wouldn´t even find any SWAT officers because to be a SWAT officer you must be a full time member of a dedicated SWAT team, which a small town in Michigan WOULD NOT HAVE. Just because a police officer is on a tactical team DOES NOT mean that they are on a SWAT team or that they are a SWAT officer. This is something your obviously juvenile self did not know, so I would like to accept your thanks in advance, you are very welcome.
Secondly, you do not need to act so dogmatic. You stated everything in a very matter-of-fact manner that provided no ability for you to be wrong, this is a terrible way to give a comment, it is even worse when none of the information you gave was correct.
Thirdly, learn some basic English grammar. You sound like a small child when you read what you wrote. I am by no means perfect while writing in the English language, but I am sure to make my writing make sense. Punctuation and capitalization go a long way in making your argument (In this case there was no argument) sound at least some what serious.
Fourthly, using profanities does not make your argument better; Swears in fact makes your argument harder to take seriously, especially without capitalization and any sort of grammar. These make you seem like a preteen and not someone who has done any research-which is also evident by the lack of quantitative statements in your comment-at all.
You’re welcome for the help, I would strongly recommend that you follow my suggestions for you.

Just saw this come over my suggested to watch.
So i like to watch Leo recaps done by retired officers whom start and finish by the codes they took however long ago but still good cops. Officers still on duty. I've seen 1 vid of k-9 operator in distress he has a button to push and bork bork nom nom comes to his aid. Do your K-9 units have this handy non-lethal on such calls when out doing normal routine traffic stops as K-9 happen when no backup till shit hits the fan? Cuz 0-100 is real ya don't even get a second to react. Please tell me these officers have something equitable.
