  • In this episode I visit a place that's been my go-to place for Chinese-American food and more specifically my favorite to get General Tso Chicken. Mr. Chens located 1848 White Horse Pike, Camden, NJ 08103 has been around since the early 90's and has made a name for itself as one of the best "Chinese spots in the Hood" I want to apologize for the audio interference towards the eating part of the video. I muted some parts out and tried to leave in audio of important commentary. Thank you for the support.

You got to order $30-$50 worth of food and eat it little by little, hoping that it don't go bad. I mean the best fried rice, getting a whole chicken wing and really good Egg Foo Young. I go to Mr. Chen as well for over 28 yrs. I've moved to Delaware and couldn't find any one that cooked like them, when I come home to visit I must get my Mr. Chen fix. Lol

The cool thing about Camden is that most of the Chinese restaurants here are really good. The key is that it's in the hood.

I don't think they were "mashing it up" as opposed to they are separating them from being stuck together in the initial drop into the fryer... but I get ya! I'm reheating some General Tso now. Your vids always make me hungry and I'm in Cali...don't matter that I can't go to your local places you feature...I just get hungry!! Thanx Brah!

Lots of these hood Chinese food spots have been there for decades and have seen people grow up since they were babies. It's nostalgic for a lot of people when they see the owners.

When I lived in the states and in Philly. My favorite hood Chinese spot was on Ogantz and Champlost. Chicken wings with chicken fried rice and Brown gravy over all of it.

You right, you right... Chinese-American General Tso's = from the hood = my favorite = hits home. My favorite go to was in Newark near NJIT - used to go there literally every day lol for General Tso's (beijing chef - closed down). But I feel you bro - there's an extra/special flavor about these under dog mom and pops take outs - can't get it replicated. Now that I'm in South Jersey now I will add this one to my list!
