Think about how far you've gotten with your skills of finding treasures in the soil of Scotland in one year. It's tremendous, Simon! I love the beginning of your video when you showed the islands in the distance and the story about the sunken ship with a huge amount of treasure on board. I hope you discover some of those coins in the near future. Good luck, Simon!!

Hello from Ohio USA. Great Job Simon I like learning about far away history. America has long history, but we find more Native flint stuff like arrow heads, hide scrapers, spear heads and if lucky carved flint and stone pipes for tobacco. Keep up the search and we will be watching and learning with you. Like Scotland we have places you can't dig like native graveyards and burial mounds. We find lots in rivers and fields by rivers where we had Native camps. Thanks again for sharing.

Great video Simon and historic information I never knew! It would be great to see what you can find under that big sea 🌊 in Scotland - a treasure chest hopefully 🤞. Fantastic land finds over the last year, especially the Denari 🤩🤩 isn’t it amazing how good they look for the time they’ve been in the ground . It was interesting to hear about the William 111 token, and the two bends for superstition? Thank you for the compilation video of your first year. I hope you have time to start the scuba diving portion of your channel. That would be very interesting. Please be careful with the diving and train with some local experts who know the water conditions. I had a friend years ago who did scuba. He found a local diver to train with and he happened to be a police diver. Eventually the policeman trusted him enough to invite him on police recovery dives. They would search for missing persons from boat and swimming accidents. He said he learned alot working along side of the police. Most of it concerned the safety of the dive.

    • @thespanishdetectorist

You may be interested to learn that the area around Burntisland and Kinghorn was the most likely landing site for Edward Balliol and his English longbow men - Edward Balliol, son of the arguably better known John Balliol, was the "Scottish Pretender", who went from there to success at the battle of Duplin moor (which took place roughly on my doorstep), and from there to a three month period as "king" of parts of the kingdom of Scotland before being forced to flee back to England and the protection of Edward III following the Battle of Annan.
