Dude this is beautiful. When I'm done fighting this bullshit cancer I'm gonna get one of these from y'all. Been following for a few years now and these videos just get better and better🤘🤘
Gws !
I hope you get through this well sir. Keep fighting
moto toad - Best of luck kickin' the big-c's ass! [I'm a 2-time [so far] Hodgkin's lymphoma survivor]
It can be a rough and brutal fight, but, worth all the bs in the future if/when we can finally get back in action.
🤘
Sam -
Thank you all 🤘
@@DirtyDovi yes sir it sure is! Well said! And congrats for kicking cancers ass twice man!
I bet that things is a ton of fun in the snow!
Sand dunes with a paddle ;)
Or mud it would have to go good with those fat tires! I grew up on a 200 yamaha trackways and it had fat tires and would go any where long as tires was good!
Well where snow 4 stroke shit made in China
Nope, but sleds that are made for the snow are fun!
I bet it would have big trouble with the steering
2:50 ATC 250R sighting. I’ve waited thirty four years for this. I really have. I was at sippin cycles in Monroe Connecticut on the last night before the consent decree was in effect. I watched as they rolled what they couldn’t sell into the warehouse.
They closed the door and I watched until The door came down, my 14 year old head against the concrete as the last sliver of light was gone....
Heartbroken.
I can’t believe a new ATC 250r is a reality. Thank you for doing this. It heals a deep wound in my moto soul.
Omg yes! I've had the pleasure of rebuilding one and riding it they are an absolute monster and you can drift them lol amazing!
I saw it 👀😂😂 UFO spotted
My 350x rocks
Ronald, I feel your pain.. As a kid, I spent most nights of the week at my grandparent's house that was 2 doors down from our local Honda shop..
Dave - The owner used to let me play around in the shop, and I always gravitated to the ATCs - Especially the 250Rs.. Man they were somethin'..
Then the bad news came, and I also had to watch as they were all pulled from the showroom and returned to crates out behind the shop..
Insult to injury - Some of them literally sat crated up for years! Dave said they may be used for parts, but, could not be legally sold. *sigh*
Years later [in my mid/late 20s I finally found one. And years after that [2010ish] I found another one. I had such a blast on them!
The last one I had was in amazing condition and was a favorite to ride around my shop. The thing was a beast..
Crazy on dirt, crazy on the asphalt, and also super fun to get sideways or stand up on 2. Damn I miss that thing.
[Random] Someone on Craigslist near me had one a year or so ago that was DOT approved for NY state street use. It was so bad a**.
Same... but I love in Norway and we didn’t even get to see them real life...
Dang BVC, you really know how to gut puch a former rider. Watching you guys shred on these dream machines really brings me back to the mid 80's, I rode the dunes everyday in El Paso, Texas.
I mean everyday! I lived about 2 miles from the dunes and wore out 3 atc250r's in 5 years (getting off of the school bus and heading straight for the garage riding to about 10pm everyday). Now I am pushing 50 and have had a back surgery. I might still risk it just to shred on that ATC500R you guys built. Quads just aren't the same, Trikes rule the dunes. It snowed one year and riding the dunes covered in snow drift was like nothing I had ever experienced. I'll never for get those days, blasting through the snow drift to hit the sand and launch with all the snow you just obliterated.
This is gonna blow up I just know it. Can see it now. A big wheel motox class!!! Attention big 4!!!!
Awesome You should consider trying to use one of the front wheel drive kits on this to make it 2wd. Like a Rokon but with power. If you tried to sell the parts to do this as a kit I bet it would sell.
My uncle has a big tire 250r 2 wheeler he used to take to Glamis and let me cruise around on. It was great, super comfy, loads of Honda 2 stroke power, and 6 speed gearbox, what a blast. It was originally a 250r 3 wheeler, maybe 1985 or so. I believe the conversion kit was from Missile industries.
It's a modern Fat Cat, sported up a bit, sweet!
WOW......both machines look incredible. You are at the point where Honda should have been. As well as the other manufacturers. 2/3/4 wheels.... 2 & 4 stroke ( but mainly 2 strokes haha). Outstanding work
stupenda, ottima idea per quei fondi dove devi "galleggiare", fantastico, ottimo lavoro ragazzi
That is perfect for riding in the sand. Awesome build.
What a wonderful project. Paddle tire in the back, sand tire in the front and take it to the Glamis sand dunes. Oh, so much fun!!!!!
Im loving the low seat hight.
I suggested this build a while ago, so glad you finally did it. Y'all need to bring your trikes and thst big wheel out to Sand Mountain, Nevada for Halloween, its quite the party and would be great exposure for your products.
Absolutely
Ah man, coolest creation ever!! 🙌🏻
I was told about this build at work so I looked it up and sure enough a Honda Fat Cat on steroids!! I would love to see it over here in Kentucky on the hills what a hill climbing machine. Great Job!
That bike is an absolute masterpiece
I’m not into 4strokes but man that’s awesome. !!! Great job.
amazing. Man I wish my local trails would allow trikes I have a Husa 650 sumo that would be amazing as a trike. Keep it up guys amazing product.
Awesome project bike. The fat tires are not the best on sand though. I have a Yamaha tw200 and the fat tires float too much on sand, so I know what he means about "it fun in the sand" :) I'm sure the bike is awesome in the woods. Well done.
Survival Russia the TW does not have the high hp needed to really excel in sand riding conditions , i will be posting more videos testing in straight sand. Most of our tracks here are a sand mix but we do have some straight sand in the area
@@BVCOFFROAD The TW is mega powerful LOL I used to ride RM125 and KX 500. KLR for the road. Good luck guys.
Survival Russia the tw’s are sweet i had alot of guys ask if we will make anything for them
love your channel
@@SurvivalRussia lol they have 16 horsepower... that crf 450 is sitting f around 50 to the wheel
Track looked pretty fun back there in the sticks
Absolutely badass nice work
Thank you
Looks good. Now let's see it on a loamy track. Keep it up guys
That looks Like a lot of fun. Awesome.
It was a blast!
talk about a clutch killa.. love it
It looks really fun. I would like to know how it does in a little bit of snow also. Great job.
Looks like i have a cr250r thats going to get some big wheels one of these days after watching this. Sick build
Great job 👍 looks like a success
This is an awesome build, i would love to get the kit for my 07 Yamaha WR450F.
I still have an 85 Yamaha BW 200 my Dad bought new. I think they were trying to come up with something new as 3 wheelers were being phased out. They were a hot item for a few short years. Sure is cool what you have done here. Maybe these will catch on again.
I think I just found my new addiction! Time to look for a dirt bike now...unless you were serious about the giveaway!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
That thing would be sick in the snow!!!
Anyone remember the Honda fat cat? My grandfather bought one brand new in I think 1987. Thing looked alot like that, but with the 200 cc 4 stroke engine, and it honestly could have used a lot more power, but other than that, it was an awesome bike, and fit my grandfather perfectly as he was and still is a big man at 6'3" 295lbs.. he is 83 years old now and could probably still kick my ass!
That’s what they got inspo from man unless I’m wrong
Nice bike sir.. Someday i want to ride like that.. Shout out from Philippines.. I love your bike
Haha that thing looks like a hoot! Nice work!
Ok, now do a xl650 with 2 sets of wheels , supermotard drifting fat tires that are street legal.
Straight rippin that big wheel bro he’ll ya
Killing it keep up the good work
I swear man your setup is amazing I think I would much rather have the big wheel over a regular dirt bike any day🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾💯💪🏽💪🏽💚🤙🏽🤙🏽
You earned another OMG, not a big dirt bike guy more avt but would love to have one of those :)
Congratulatons..!!! Super Cool.. Greetings from Costa Rica
Very Cool indeed love to own one in color choices if prices set just right for all who that would buy. Great job 👍👍👍👍👍
Super cool rigs guys !! I want a kit fir my KTM 525 !!!
I like how much sand it throws
Man! Bad axx! Definitely wish I had one.
liked before i even watched cause i know the videos gonna be good 👍
Actually impressed by how quick it is! Well built, and works? What is this?
That is just totally cool now do you notice any power difference with the balloon tires and jack shaft
Awesome fab skills men !
It’s so beautiful
Yes please build a kit for KX500 and CR500 !!!
Looks very cool and fun great video.
Do you guys see anywhere that that big wheeler is better than a regular 450f dirt bike?
Perhaps in forrest Enduro race?
Sorry for bad English i am from Sweden hehe
There will be fat bike racing in the future now because of you lot 🤣🤘👍
How much weight does it add to the bike from stock? I remember back in the 80s when Yamaha made a big wheel in an 80cc 2t they were a blast in the snow and dunes. I would love to have a big boy version of that maybe have to do a 500 2t conversion to aluminum twinspar frame and fat cat it. How does it hang in the burms? Never track rode a fat wheel. Awesome job and it is cool to see the toys from my youth revisited in a modern platform.
You guys need to patient that y’all gonna be rich as shit I love it bro
That thing is badass
The ‘80s were before my time. What were the advantages of a big wheel? What was their selling point/appeal
Sooo awesome! I want a ktm 500 bigwheel
Awesome dude so awesome
Awesome machine
I don't know if y'all do hairscrambles but that would be awesome on a muddy track for floating threw the mud
I can't imagine how many other riders see these things on the trail and laugh.
So why didn't you go into greater detail about how the two different tire sizes ride differently? Can you give examples on why the big tire would be better than standard tires like for mud, more balanced, ect & so on.
& I hear it's a blast to ride and it's fun!? but is it better ?
What are those tires you are using?? Ive been searching for quite a while! All i see is itp!! Sweet conversion btw!! I hope to see these gain in popularity!
Baddd to the bone💨🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
What did you honestly have to retrofit to make the big tires fit?
Axles, triple clamp, swingarm... what else? Oh probably something with the front sprocket.... idk.. but That looks like a fun way to make a 450 trail worthy
We want more of the big cats!! 👍 if agree
I need one of these!!!!
Liked for the tundra
I would love to see a video of this thing in a Cross country type race 🤣
Can you put a paddle tire on the back, like a Hauler?
Yes do a CR500 but with bigger wheels like a monster truck and turbo charge it, also supercharge. That would be my dream woods bike
Ficou muito top show muito bom os veículos são muito legais
I would love to do a conversion like this on my sons 150rb.
YEE HARRR ONE OF THE COOLEST FU*KING THINGS I'VE SEEN ✌
Man wish this was out when I was younger 40 now and gotta work for a living lol
Bad ass period!!!! Nothing else to say🤪👍👍👍👍
I like the trike better then the big tire on a dirt bike its been done in the 80s to now it's cool but the first thing I had was a big wheel dirt bike but the trike I know it's been around but how you all did it its cooler and way fucking better from how it looks good job
What a sikk looking bike
KX500 big wheel with a paddle tire on the dunes!
I remember when the "Fat Cat" came out in the 80's. Honda needs to come back with a modern version of it!
If y’all sold conversion kits for motocross bikes I would of bought 1 yesterday
U got me where I going to build yz450 big wheel
I need a big wheel bike now
My brothers dirtbike in offroad outlaws be like 0:20
Good job 👌
The perfect bike
At the machine shop where I work we build one for a customer about 4 years ago. It was a really fun project. The customer was wanting to make kits for people but it never took off. We built the one prototype and that was it. Basically it was the same as your guys. Only difference was I designed and machined a 3 piece rear aluminum swing arm out of 7075. And the jack shaft was on a cam setup just like the rear carrier on a Honda ATC or Quad. I test rode it. It was a ton of fun. I’m used to a regular dirt bike so steering it was a little different with the wider tires. Wheelies was easier thought. Seemed more stable.
Did you bolt all three pieces together for the swingarm?
Derek Wirth
Yes with 1/2-13 flathead grade 8. They interlocked using a dovetail method.
After watching this video, how do you expect me to sleep.....? Im so ready for my kit!
whaat is it for tho since it doesnt make your bike any higger but lower and heavier
Where's the CR250 footage? I think that's one of the sweetest trike conversions yet.
Seems like a bike like that would do great in one of those cross country kinda races. Run a lighter air compound with a low tire pressure. With the Mx suspension and power of a 450. Might be good Ina dacar style race
Super cool
Other than cool factor, what’s the benefit?
I love it!
& ...I want one!
First off I've been watching for awhile. Seeing in on the track it looks great! How's the power with the bigger tires? The 450 sounds boggy in the video? Either way I want one...i must have one!
We are still working on gearing, but this thing was a abused 2002 crf when we picked it up... it needs a good service and tuning to run great. Perfect donor bike for a build like this
U should build a Honda CR500 big wheel to go with that one u have to have a 2stroke to match
I want one badly!
We can’t have trikes here in Australia anymore but I really want need one of these big wheels for our soft sand beaches! PLEASE!
What do you mean you can’t have trikes ??
what i wanna know is why dont honda start to make these again? i mean whyd they even stop making them lol, nice bike build good stuff !
