Hellmuth knew the guy was from Finland. That’s what made his rant so good. I called a raise with Q10 from the button not the big. I’m also from Florida, not Ohio 😂.
If they held the final table 1 month from the date of the final elimination period they can do almost a reality TV feature, talk about their coaching, their preparation, everything leading up to the final table. It allows for so many other features throughout the live event to be played.
I still watch all the reruns on CZcams of all the WSOP main event in final tables of the past. They were brilliant, the all-in moments, the meat stick, I can't remember their name hand. Phil Laak debating Antonio was great in the breakdowns. Being able to properly produce the event whether it's live mixed with pre-production bits is perfect, or having different sets for the different features going live. But that would be hard. Bring back High Noon!
Fascinating listening guys. Paid subscription is good when you have an audience that is sustainable and it's bringing high tier production for those of us which love the game. The downside is TV coverage is what brought in thousands of new players which are no longer coming. Ten years ago here in UK we had one TV channel dedicated to poker on our satellite TV packages, we had Poker stars highlights with Stapes and James Hartigan, we had WSOP highlights, we had high stakes poker all airing on regular TV this was generating huge interest. Now there is virtually none and the numbers of new players has dropped off massively. I know things have evolved but the point about finding sustainable ways to attract new players is the elephant in the room.
Also one thing guys not everyone is based in US so hard to watch Main Event on Live stream, so the highlights are valued here in Europe and I'd iamgine Asia too.
I would love to know the spike in subscriptions to the bottom line number they get when they run flash sales during the free hour previews...thats very intriguing to me
Love the announcer's talking about experience at the final table and saying "Lena900 has more final table experience than all the other players combined...x5". And they probably aren't wrong. Been watching that guy crush it online since forever.

How much money does PokerGO make from subscriptions? It can't be enough to exclude 95% of the audience 🙄 praying for a rich guy to throw PokerGO 100k to change their model.
What about a microtransaction model, pushing people to open a CZcams wallet. Charging like .25 - $1.00 for whatever the formula might be per hour streamed. Maybe for the whole final table coverage they pay like $10.00. I agree people don't like subscriptions. 😮

I understand that he's a classic/nastaulgic voice in the industry. But Lon has been a trainwreck throughout these streams. Everyone with a clue agrees with this, it's just a matter of "fence-sitting" (virtue signaling).
