    I currently use my restored 1995 9000 CS (Turned Aero) that was sitting in field for a couple of years as my daily driver/truck. First Saab I have owned, and I regret not owning one earlier. Such an amazing, practical, and easy to fix car! Easy to tune as well! Way ahead of their time!

    Loved the video.
    I have a 1995 Saab Scania 9000 CDE 6 cylinder and I love it.
    Take care and stay safe.

    One of best car ever, the 9000.. I played around with maybe 20 different saab 9000 when I was younger, what a car! So nice to drive, never brake down ( and if they did it was easy fix).. Today I drive a 9-5, love it. And I can put a house in the trunk :)

    9000's have huge capacity. Many years ago i managed to get a full Double Divan bed and mattress into the back of the 9000 and drive it back home.

    Hi, I have been driving a Saab 9000. Some years ago already (ouch, getting older..).
    When I had that marvelous car, I stumbled upon an article from somebody, who had been 'refurbishing' his 9000.
    He took out the back seat and made it into a little van. That is to say: he had to darken the back side windows.
    I am living in The Netherlands and in those days, you could drive a 'grey' license. Meaning: when you have a van, or a car with no back seats, made into a little van, you could go for a special license.
    A normal registration had a yellow colour, this one was grey. Hence the name.
    In this way, the taxes you had to pay for the car, were substantial less.
    Alas, I cannot remember where I read it, maybe it was in the magazine of the Saab Club.
    I was thinking to do the same, but then my wife got pregnant😀

    So quintessentially SAAB. Even the classic 900 seemingly defines physics with its cargo volume, so the 9000 with full space is indeed a pickup!

    I had a black 1987 Saab 9000 turbo. Nicest car I’ve ever owned . Powerful, spacious, nicest cockpit. It was my third Saab after a900s and a 900 turbo. As it approached warranty expiration at 36000 miles everything electronic went crazy, shorted out and didn’t work. Had it all repaired last minute under warranty just before it expired and dealer just couldn’t get it right. Would have been an incredibly expense nightmare if I had to pay on my own. Everything was cross wired and screwed up. It was the last one I would ever own. A total nightmare.

    I have a 93 og aero convertible... roof down you can fit full size key board poking out from back seats.. I've got to pick up a full 5 piece DW drum kit next week from Wembley... should be interesting..... many years ago I removed all interior from a cavalier... I could fit so much in there!!!! Loving the 9000 !

      Yeah in my 1991 900 turbo Vert I've got so much in those back seats with the top down - strapped a sofa once across the back !

    Exciting to see new content even if it is short. Love seeing a 9000 still on the road and being enjoyed. I'm determined to get my 1993 9000 back on the road this spring/summer. I need to change a CV shaft and maybe a master slave cylinder.....(and caliper / pads and rotors driver window motor. Eventually a clutch and whatever else pops up!) Saab on!

      Thanks for the encouragement! I do feel the pain of not being present on my channel lately but that'll change ! Meanwhile I'm enjoying my winter 9000 dyeing these very snowy months here in Sweden !

      Longblock b234?

      From my research I believe my 1993 b234L is a long block . I replaced my downpipe with cat yesterday and now it doesn't sound like a lobster boat anymore!

      @@letsgobrandon1300 A lobster boat? You mean mine? What were these distinct features to later models? Also its very bad news, these are unicorns, but when in 4 speed autobox its even worse, later 9k do not fit longblock

    My old 900 2-door the rear seats folded flat so you could get this effect without any finagling - I slept in the back of it!

  • @maartenrijs3
    @maartenrijs3 Před 10 měsíci

    Yes I've done that, take out the back seats completely. Has incredible space.

  • @letsgobrandon1300

    One time I went to pick up two 9000 aero front seats in my 9000 and while there the guy said I could have the rear seats as well. So I managed squeeze the entire set of front seats and back seats in my car. I was impressed with the cargo room. That would be hard to do with some sedans I believe.

    • @theclassicsaabguy236
      @theclassicsaabguy236  Před rokem +1

      Yeah exactly we have to remember the 900 is classed as a sedan ! Why wagons are great etc I don't think the last gen 9-3 looks that good in wagon version but the sedan version looks so freaking cool but you can't use it like a 9000 because it's boot and shelf

    When i bought my big airkompressor from Jula Linköping, i had to stand it up and lift the seatcusion to have room higetwise in my 1993 9000 sce. And i transported it home to Mjölby. I also built a bed that i could insert in the back. Folded the rear seat and inserted it from the rear. It was like having a pickup truckbed and it worked great for yardtrimmings and other dirty loads. I hade my 9000 for over 10 years, it had over 400000km when i let go for scrap, it was to far gone to repair.

    I really miss my 9000! That thing had so much room inside it but never needed to remove the seats for more room. I wish the theme had continued into the development of the 9-5 but i guess the wagon option was good for people to have a different style. I now own 2 2005 9-5 ARC's one in sedan and one in wagon, and own a 2007 9-3 Aero 6mt. My wife owns a 1996 900 5 door auto and loves here little car but its difficult for me to fit in to compared to my 9-5's. Just found your channel today and subscribed!

    • @theclassicsaabguy236
      @theclassicsaabguy236  Před rokem +1

      Yeah I also wish they would have kept up the theme with the later models - I had a 2006 9-3 and lived that car but wished it had a hatch back with down seats - would have been perfect, mostly because I loved the lines and style of the sedan - the wagon I thought just spoiled the look completely

    I don't own a 9000. Don't the seats fold flat? Hmm, maybe by 1997 it is not possible upgraded crash protection? My former 1993 900s hatch had fold flat seats. It was amazing what we could put in that thing.

    • @theclassicsaabguy236
      @theclassicsaabguy236  Před rokem +1

      Hi yes of course the seats fold - the bottom seat tilts up and goes against the back of the front seats and the back seats tilt down flat - it produces huge loading capacity - but when you remove the seats - WOW !! You get these big gaping well of extra space ! Great

    How do you fix the ACC when it goes bad, and it will.
