Watching Nick in his tour made me think about the evolution of every Lalander from when they first appeared on the vlogs. Everyone has become so comfortable being part of it. I appreciate your willingness to show up and for entertaining us all of these years. You’re all great! ❤
Nick seems so very comfortable talking to these small groups and I think it’s because he’s so knowledgeable about trees, plants etc. and you can see his vision for the forest and how much he loves the chateau. Bravo Nick.

So happy your Patron Days went so well. What a wonderful tour Nick gave! His love of nature is so apparent both in his words and his aspect. His delight in the regrowth of the forest floor plants and the strengthening of the trees, with their growth of lower branches since receiving more light, was lovely to behold; it was like seeing a proud papa, whose children had benefited from his attention and discipline, and were now blossoming before his very eyes.
Nick is such a treasure! He came in, and helped LaLande. But, he fell in love with the trees, and the land. He is so genuine and proactive! He sees the vision!
Nick in the forest is like the big ol' diamond in a gold ring, boy does he ever make the forest sparkle.
Did not realize Nick had the bluest eyes until now.

His use for equipment is efficient and sometimes graceful in its execution. I know that his presence at Dan,s Chateau Project had had a positive influence on how its got to the stage its at. I don't wanna get sappy ... but you all have *NO* idea how happy your vlogs make people. After we turned on today's video, I found myself sitting on the couch, grinning from ear-to-ear. It wasn't anything specific --- it was the overall tone of kindness and teamwork and fun. It is such a good thing. Thanks.
@Edie3366 I and so many agree and share this same sentiment❤. I see it as a deep connection that one feels while watching this and which activates the natural response of smiling ear to ear. What you said was genuine and from the heart. I wouldn’t see that as sappy but more seen from the lens of knowing yourself and your feelings but also being connected to this human trait=strength.
Thinking back to Nick's first Patron Day video, versus now. He's become so comfortable on camera, and seems to really be enjoying showcasing his amazing forestry work.

Here we have huge woodpeckers and once they make their holes raccoons and squirrels make their nest. Oh, and along with owls. I just love the woods.

I'm in Ottawa, Canada and Mother Nature has been providing almost all the water my garden plants need... and then some. I put out the lawn sprinkler once only. Very green here, also including our grassy areas. All my flowers are flourishing.

I'm so touched by the environmental awareness that Nick cultivates . I grew up in a country where ecology is the key word for happiness. Finland .
I've been following the channel for ages, and was actually also a Patron for a while. I was even planning on becoming a volunteer😊 BUT sadly, as Covid shut the world down, I suddenly began to have severe problems with my back. Since then, I've had 2 surgeries, been in recovery, and as is often the case, more problems surfaced 😑 So I am STILL in recovery... But fortunately, I have the Chateau Diaries, and a full library of episodes to watch again. I've done that a few times, actually😂 So I still hope to someday be able to visit, and perhaps even volunteer, because it would be lovely to stay at the Chateau, and meet all these people, that have helped me through some dark times 😊

Perhaps I should have warned everyone what our long range weather forecaster,who lives in Queensland, said about the rain. He said that because of all the activity on the sun’s surface lately we would have plenty of rain until about August . The Aussie weather bureau got it all wrong of course and had forecast dry weather from last November.!

We’re having a very green, lush summer too in eastern coastal Maine, USA. Everyone’s gardens are gorgeous! It’s completely opposite of last year when many failed because of constant huge rains and very little sunshine.
