I think I forgot to mention one other reason why you want to leave the eggs alone for 24 hours. The eggs are super soft and fragile for 2 hours after fertilization. I forgot. Must have been the beer.

Thank you for taking time to break this down for me. Even though I am not doing this right now I am planning to follow the system to increase my success for more viable fry. I look forward to you continue the next step with what to do with your fry.

Thank you for the detailed info. I know I have been really worried about accidentally popping the eggs and appreciate the reassurance! Do you still have the Gex food available, by any chance?

I was equally terrified in the beginning as well. One thing that I did forget to mention is that the Eggs are very fragile the first 2 hours after spawning. That is another reason why I like to keep them in the same water temp for 24 hours. And Yes, I have more GEX. What size containers to hatch eggs? Ideally having at least one fry tank per kind. Otherwise I’d have to set up some more nano 25c cubes (25cm) with moina and green water 🤙

It really depends on how many eggs you have per container. Typically I'll end up with up to 40 eggs per container that holds one cup of water. I do change out the water every 2 to 3 days before they hatch. Once they hatch or about to hatch, I will transfer them into a 5 gallon (19 liter) aquarium. (I keep the strains separated). If I had more space I would limit to 20 fry per 5 gallon tank. Due to the space constraints, I will put in all 40+ fry into a 5 gallon aquarium. Thank you for chiming in MedakaHead @philcam9493 !

It's normal that one of my females laid eggs 2 times then stopped and became thinner. Instead the other 2 lay eggs 1 or 2 times a week
