I once tried beating Super Mario Bros without running, because I didn't know there was a run button!
A long time ago, I didn’t know how to run in some old Flash-based Super Mario fan games. IIRC, I didn’t even know there _is_ a run button and I got stuck due to that.
That reminds me of when I first played Final Fantasy 7 on the PlayStation. I was so used to old Nintendo controllers that I used the directional buttons to move instead of the joystick. Using the joystick is the only way to run, so I was walking wherever I went. I was wondering why it took me so long to get through the areas! 😅

As a person whose favorite Mario game is Super Mario World, and loves technical challenges in games, I see this video as a big, honking W!!
Imagine doing this same challenge again but not being able to use Star Road; that certainly wouldn't end well because of the road block at world 4's castle 😅

I never played mario world in over 5 years, so I cant remember if yoshi can run up the little pink thingies, if he can, tecnicly mario isnt running, yoshi is!
To be honest, this was the method I used before discovering there is a run function in it.

Man, I remember when I first played smw and I had no idea how to run. I barely got past castle 1 and didn't know about secret exits. Vanilla 1 forced me to learn. In fact, i looked up how to get past it, but i still had to learn the hard way.
No running!? That's a BIG mistake!! Running is good because IT'S ALL ABOUT SPEED!!! Walking is for slow people
