Fun fact: Most ghost houses in the game feature segments where you have to go left. This is because going left feels awkward and unnatural; it's an intentional design choice to add to the "haunted and mysterious" atmosphere of the ghost houses.
I beated the game with out touching a coin and not going left and no DAMAGE!!! AND IT WAS A VERY DIFFICULT ONE BUT IT WAS TOUGH BUT I DID IT

@Lucaatje It actually... might be possible. There are some Kaizo tricks that not many people know, especially when it comes to flying. For one, you can turn around while flying without pressing left, and that would then let you fly *left* by pressing *right,* since that's how flying works. So you can most likely get to the exit of Donut Ghost House with that. Even Donut Secret House might be possible TAS; there's a trick to keep flight through a door, although since you spawn flat against a wall I don't know if that helps.
@@maxastro I was actually thinking about this during the Donut Ghost House in the video. It would be very tight, but maybe it's possible.

Both ghost houses are possible without pressing left, nico is incorrect about several levels in this video. DGH you can fly up to the right, do a turn around, and then you're flying left which only requires tapping right. For DSH, you do stair clip, preserve flight through the door, and basically do the same thing as I mentioned for DGH.
That turning left sometimes with the cape happens when you hold Y a little bit.

Yeah. I'm not a big fan of this video, since there is a load of SMW things that aren't know by simple humans. I feel like a cape would beat donut ghost house, since you would turn then you would have to press right to keep flying.

For the regular ghost house, you would have to use the trick that lets you keep flight through a door and then you would have a VERY short space to turn around. And for the secret ghost house, getting through the Boo ring without being hit would be very hard.
For some reason, whenever I fought Bowser, I always found the third phase to be the easiest.

I believe there's actually a glitch used in the 11-exit speedrun of this game to clip through the staircase at 6:28.
this is exactly what I was going to comment
(1:41) There's a way to get that Yoshi without pressing left. There's a Chuck a few screens further ahead, just before midpoint, and if you jump on his left side, you get leftward momentum. Then you just have to jump repeatedly with the right timing to maintain this momentum all the way to Yoshi.
(2:19) That Fire Flower is obtainable if you grab one of the Koopa shells just before it and use that to hit the block.

About that ghost house: I feel like it might be possible with really good cape control (enter door with P speed and turn around). If not, at least you can clip through the stairs

2nd! And It’s Time To Have A Bad Time
Fairly good progress made, well done. However, in theory, Donut Secret house may be possible, but it requires being a god with the cape feather. While flying, You can spin and turn around while flying. With some sweet flying skills, you could clear the first room. Before entering the second room, you can land in the doorway, enter, and jump to preserve you momentum and immediately fly in the next room so you can fly in the other direction... It might be TAS only, however...
Good job on star road, the first and third levels had me stumped...
Nicobbq this is a way to get left without pressing left, using a cape powerup you can actually spin while your flying and theres a 50% chance that you will change direction while flying with the cape. allowing you to fly in the opposite direction without pressing left. Its mostly used on Kaizo super mario world rom hacks but i think you can use this to get to the end of the game without pressing left as long as you can get enough speed to fly.
This challenge is offensive to me because I'm left handed...

In TASsses and speedruns, you can clip through the floor of that Ghost House by flying and then charging a fly at a specific angle. You should look into it, as it would let you continue from where you got stuck if you could clip there.
I was honestly expecting you to play a remake of SMW in SMM2 considering you did this with SMB.

Donut Ghost House is possible if you get a cape, open the first door, then lead the boos to the left of the stage by pressing down on the slope to go left, and spin jumping on the boos to go up onto the platform where the door is. It’s incredibly hard but I was able to do it with the right timing. But once clearing the ghost house I went on to the second castle, and unfortunately there’s a segment where you need to hold left to proceed.

If you spin in mid cape flight theres a chance you'll spin around and stay in flight mode, you could use this to go left without pressing left in the secret ghost house in doughnut planes
You can press X to do a spin attack while running, cape flying, or holding an item. Pressing X to spin while flying can be used to change directions, which will let you open up the cape and gain some left momentum by pressing right. I think this could possibly be used to beat the Donut Ghost House and Morton's Castle left-less and enter Star Road via either Donut Secret 1 or Soda Lake...
Hey! You can beat that Ghost House without a left press! In SMM you can't spin jump on Boos, but in SMW, you can! If you have a cape and a prayer, you can do it!

A good strat is to jump on the charging chucks as if u do u carry momentum backward and repeatedly jump to get to yoshi in 1-2
Well, in fact, I believe that, when you are flying with a cape, them press the spin jump button, Mario begings to fly in the other direction. Not sure though, but ive seen some speesrunners do it, but I don't know if you need to press left.
