How safe toulouse is .. i am planning solo trip , as a Indian i can easily address as tourist so how should i protect myself from thief. Second thing what will be the minimum cost for one day stay at hotel + food?
About sleeping, for a hotel, it'll be about 100€/night minimum, try couchsurfing if you have a small budget, or trying to find a room at the inhabitant (if you speak french a little, it'll be easier :p)
About safety, the city is secure (for tourists and everyone), just avoid certain districts like Matabiau/Arnaud-bernard at evening/night, and the west side of the city (Le Mirail, Patte d'oie, everything wester than Les Arènes).
About eating, you can count 10~15€ for a meal on average, tons of small restaurant in the inner city (mostly around Capitole)
And don't forget a small budget for city buses/velotoulouse !

Lol bro I'm french and I love Toulouse but don't think it's safer than Paris tbh, avoid the obvious sketchy part/people and trust me it will be very obvious group of thugs in Toulouse, especially in city center like capitol by night Arnaud Bernard place or jean Jaurès, visited almost all big and medium city of France and the safest biggest city is Strasbourg 😂. But don't worry if u understand quick what to avoid of course it's safe for a tourist, first few hours in Toulouse first time I saw 4 fights and scuffle, I arrived at night, Strasbourg or Angers for example I never saw any
