The transition from the kitchen to the gym was insanely incredible.....
I say this comment and was like nah cant be that good but BRUH insane
Its called a match cut
I thought you could skip ads after 5 seconds why’s this one been going on for 13 minutes?
LMAOOOO I actually enjoyed this video though 😭
Lol. You can’t blame the man for paying the bills! Plus it seems like a legitimately useful product for some people.
That’s called a review that most of athletes are interested in before purchasing the product.
Brooooo on God this whole thing was literally an ad
😂😂
"I just simply can't see myself ever wearing a ring", Mike on his wedding day
Thanks for the update on the whoop whoop 🙌 band - your looking much more healthier. Sleep is vital for progression which I’ve also learnt slowly..plus Mike your forearms look bigger Gssss..need to get like that 👍
Quality!! Getting one of these for when I hit my winter training on the bike, hopefully it will provide me more insight to help me put a plan in place to reduce fatigue when training around being a first time Dad
Been following you for a good while Mike. Thanks for putting out these awesome videos brother. I watch your videos to get motivated and continue working out specially the days I don't feel like working out. Keep at it brother. Respect!
I have had this since January this year thanks to you Mike and honestly it’s a game changer, really helped me improve myself, sleep and get the most out of me! And Yh the alcohol 100% gets me in red and terrible recovery
„Anything that increases my heart beat at night, I need to stay away from…“ yeah sure Mike 😜
Uncle Mike spitting facts
Hahaha
I love the editing in this video, looking very sharp Mike!
Great video. I already have a garmin fenix 6 which provides everything woop does but its free per month .
Very curious your thoughts
What is all round the best for
Sleep tracking/ hrv/ training heart rate?
Whoop
Polar
Morpheus
Or maybe other?
If you're this level of an athlete, yeah worth it. For the average fitness enthusiast, it's worth having it for some time (6 months) to learn, become aware of your sleep habits, drink habits, how hard you really train etc. After that, you can carry on without it.
It's just information, data, it doesn't cause anything, and often tells you what you already know, as I said, how much further those extra interesting details will help you vs the athlete... minimal, I should think.
Plus, £30 a month is a bit steep (it's worth the tech, great business model for them), better putting that money towards quality nutrition.
100% agree. I had one and it was interesting to see the data. However I’m not going to let the data tell me hard I’m going to push in the gym. Additionally the strain doesn’t really work for bodybuilding/lifting weights.
Was going to say the exactly same - also you can just use your smart phone / watch etc. As long as the data comes from the same device it'll all be relative to that. So you can still see if you're falling behind on your step count / sleep etc. It may not be as accurate but still data to show your health trends over a time period.
@@greaterthansage I initially got it to let the strain/recovery scores guide me on which days to push it and when not, but it doesn't correlate at all I feel
I definitely learned from the sleep habits, latency, how much time unconscious disturbances take from you, what pre-bed time rituals correlate with higher scores, but I don't need to keep paying £30 a month to know that indefinitely.
@@ManForToday 100%
$30 is 5 Starbucks coffee or Hulu and Netflix subscription. It’s preference forsure. The best thing it has vs an Apple Watch is the fact you never have to take it off to charge. But it’s definitely a personal decision. If you’re not totally dialed in and want to know a shit ton of stuff there are other options available. I used the very first one and really enjoyed it but it has pros/cons just like anything else.
Congratulations my fellow CZcamsR on another epic video! 👍
Currently rocking the Stealth Black Oura Ring, loving it!!
Hi Mike.
Have you noticed the accuracy when wearing it so low down your wrist?
A lot says it should be above the wrist bone, just wondering 😊
hi mike. Recently subscribed and enjoying your content. I received the Fitbit Versa 2 last summer as a gift and doubted its value. Boy was I wrong. The data/feedback on my workouts, activity, sleep and calories in/out has been invaluble in my weight loss. Love it!
Sleep is everything. It is like the Limitless drug. Why not get more of it? Your workout will be better. Your mood will be better. Energy, memory, attention, testosterone, strength, focus, relationships, mental health, blood pressure, lower risk of disease and death, everything will be better. And it’s fucking free.
Great Video - enjoyed this review
its nice that we get a lot of analysis for your sleep but how accurate is it??? I always have this question about these kind of products. I wish there was some kind of accurate measurement of your sleep you could compare this band to.
Thanks mike. Pls tag a link for a vlog if you cover skin cear. Full support 👍🏼
Mike is an amazing and inspiring fitness influencer. Great physique and personality. I absolutely love his lifestyle videos. They are very realistic and show you how things actually are behind the scenes. Mike has proven to me that chasing aesthetics is the way to go. Having a healthy-looking, beautiful, symmetrical and balanced physique is much more rewarding (in terms of women, socias status, appreance, etc) and healthier for you than going for the overly-massive, inflated bodybuilding look. As a guy with many years in the field, I always say, when asked, that one of the best things you can do as a lifter interested in aesthetics and performance is to study the philosophy of Old-School bodybuilders. Old-School bodybuilders were ingenious physique architects. They had a profound knowledge of the principles of proper nutrition, smart supplementation, exercise science and muscle adaptability. If you combine Old-School bodybuilding wisdom with modern, evidence-based science, it's the best, safest, most effective way in achieving a strong, sexy, healthy and aesthetic physique. Vintage Physique by George Kelly is a nice read on the topic.
A balanced and fair review. Noice one mate!
Love the fact there’s more frequent content Mike well done 👍🏻 am a 51 year old codger but love your content and find you super inspiring 👏🏻👏🏻
i wear the Garmin fenix 6 pro. It tracks my VO2, my sleep, my heart rate (how accurate it is questionable), steps, calories used during workout, recovery time after a hard day, Body battery. Basically all the things the whoop does plus tells the time and has some smart features etc. Like the Whoop or anything like that you have to take it with a grain of salt. Though I dont focus on weights my focus is on endurance running, cycling (all forms Road and mountain) and swimming so my requirements would be different to Mikes. Like all these technologies they are used as a guide and not to be taken as gospel.
I used first Gen and found out I had sleep apnea after seeing how my sleep was so fucked. Had I not grabbed it I probably would’ve never got a sleep study done. It’s a very niche item but it’s cool if it’s why you’re looking for.
Trying to find you on teams but can’t seem to locate you. Looked up THRST do you have an invitation code? Hopefully I get a reply
Great and no holes barred review
Eyyy nice bro keep grinding let's go 💪👊🔥💪
Does anyone who have heavily tattooed wrists use this? Do you have issues with heart rate tracking? I have an Apple Watch and can’t use it correctly because of my tattoos. It keeps thinking I’m taking my Apple Watch off.
Regarding cost comparison. We must consider the battery in an Oura ring only lasts approximately 2 years and IS NOT covered under the Gen3 warranty - so a recurring Oura cost of £300 every two years. Changes how the subscription model looks!
I hope there is a technology to tracking nutrition especially when cutting instead of having to weigh your food
question, can you adjust it ?
Awesome video Again Big Mike
Anybody know an app for Apple Watch which is as close to what the Whoop does as possible, especially the recovery/performance tracking?
Yes it is a waste of money, my $20 Xiaomi band has the same features, plus counts steps and the battery lasts 20+ days
That battery life is insane! Does it count calories?? If so I have to check it out
@@IntegraDIY Yes it counts calories burned, but of course it's just an estimate like any other device
Post link
Can u send me your xiaomi band reference please
@@IntegraDIY My dream car is a integra type r Bro
Great review, You gotta try the Oura though! Stylish AF. Yes it scratches but that's only on the bottom which you don't see anyway. Also the normal silver oura ring shows less scratch marks than the stealth black ring which is more expensive.
I have had the OURA Ring Gen. 3 and I was enjoying it with a single drawback which made me order the Whoop 4.0 and that is activity tracking. Oura doesn't instantly track your walking and it doesn't automatically track your lifting and swimming sessions like at all and to me this is important.
Whoop does not track your workouts. Garmin are far more effective.
My GTS 2 smart watch does all of this paid 100 for it. Plus 2 weeks battery and lots of other features.
Mike, how can i join your community on Whoop? I’m new to this!
Where are u buying the white shirt etc?
Not sure if Mike reads these but I'm curious, what happened with his rotator cuff a few years ago? Did he end up getting surgery? Or just rehab and good to go
From time to time he does.
So strange you brought this up. I've been having some shoulder trouble recently (think it's an impingement) and watched his video recently on his cuff injury from a few years ago in the UK
Would you read them if you was him? Probably not
I believe the most accurate way to calculate calories burnt is through the scientific method used by those into energetics sciences as mentioned in the book BURN by Herman Pontzer, PhD
It sent me up the wall. As am a over thinker. And kept checking it each morning. So I got rid as it became to much. However for the right person. It’s a great device and very in-depth. All my friends have them. And love it.
I would love one, but i am wondering if it would have the same effect on me too
How does the strap fit Mike?
My wrists are small
Mike is a great inspiration for me. We both are the same age and i always find something on this channel to help me health wise in the long term....your looking good and healthy mate..maybe its me but seems you've lost just a little shoulder and pec size recently? Due to injury or just a different workout and diet? thanks again for all you do!
Who cares?
@@willj8814 he does…. Makes his masturbation sessions less intense with the loss of muscle size.
Where did you get that neckless?
What brand is your white t shirt? Where do you get them from? I like the cut
To quote Roger Horton “with our digital watch you can count steps and sleeping schedules and other stuff nobody cared about 10 years ago but you do now because we told you to” lmao
Making you more aware of how your sleep makes you feel is just sooo trivial. Stupid quote lol.
Uncle Mike, see you in Ibiza!
Damnn the editing skills in this video was on another level 🤤 GOALSSSS 👌🏽😍
Does mike have a team on whoop? Just got mine few days ago
That gym edit 🤯🤯
How do I join the community on whoop? It’s not letting me search the group, I think we need an invite code
Very helpful overview
Why not a Garmin watch to get step counter / more detailed sport info too, on top of all the Whoop functionality? Battery life more like a week
Of course Apple and Garmin still need to add CGM functionality (like a Veri)
Where in Dubai can I buy the Thurst swimshorts?
Right... We're does Mike get his pure white T shirts from
Like: I like that it doesn’t have a screen, and everything is on the phone app. Nothing to get scratched and damaged wearing it day to day, like what could happen with an Apple Watch.
Dislike: I don’t like that you can’t use it free without paying monthly.. what if I want to buy it for $360 and use the app free? Nope no thanks.
Nah I’m good with my Apple Watch series 7, does everything I need it to do and much more. One time purchase and it’s ready when you are.
that gym transition, yes boiiiiiiiii
I try to stay away from monthly subscription. So whoop is not for me.
I have a Garmin Vivoactive 4 and it's counts steps, tells time, give me distance when I walk, run, bike, Tells me denivelation, gives me my sleep quality and even is a golf GPS.
Thanks for the info Mike for your very honest appreciation of the device
100%. There is something I hate about monthly subscriptions. :D
Get a Garmin Epix. It tracks sleep, stress, steps and body battery. And the battery lasts for 6 days.
Great vlog as always thanks bro.
So my question is does it tell you more than sleep does it tell you I creams in some way?
Anyone watching who wants a cheaper option, the Fitbit 4.0 is more affordable (£120ish, +£7/month after 90 day free trial) and gives you the following: Heart Rate & variability during sleep, Oxygen sats, Light/Deep/REM sleep, Overall sleep score, Time asleep/disturbances. It does a load of other things too but I mainly use it for sleep, had it for 10 months and can confirm it is worth it if whoop is a bit much ☺️
This man is living like a machine while I'm here trying to smash 6/10 bird after 12 pints of Dark Beer
Most women today who are only a 2/10 are chasing guys who are 9/10 and above. Deluded or what?
Lmao 🤣🤣
Tell me i'm not the only one who missed his "Nonce squad" group on the whoop app 😂😂
I did a lot of research about all these fitness trackers one month ago. I ended up buying the Fitbit charge 5. I am really happy about that decision.
Long battery life (7 days +), step count, calorie count, gps for bike/walk/run tracking, amazing sleep analyze and much more. I can highly recommend it.
Great video, wish more athletes and fitness CZcamsrs looked into health trackers as they provide important performance markers
Team Invite code is invalid :(
That vein on your shoulder looks like a sideways lightning strike.
That workout B Roll sequence was 🔥🔥🔥 man
Joined the whoop thrst community
camera man needs a raise
that transition at 1:11 🥵
HUAWEI band 6 is the most incredible smart watch and it’s literally only £40. Does all of this, but more + an incredible screen and long battery life
Mike any comment on the war in Ukraine
You have been working-out / exercising at a relatively high level for years without one of these tracking devices. I am wondering what it is that you think that it will do for you at this stage (other than help you from a sponsorship perspective)? You know how to eat well i.e. you know the “macros,” and I’m sure that you knew the importance of good sleep.
So, is the point of the tracker;
1) To get you to the next level in your training?
2) Just another “cool” device that everyone thinks they need?
3) Or something else?
I exercise regularly and am in pretty good shape (for being 54) if I do say so for myself. I just don’t see what a tracker is going to do for me, other than give me a bunch of “data” to freak out about.
LOVE your channel, love the videos…I’ve been a subscriber since your early days…love to see you doing well!
£££££
I used to have one of these fitness bands a couple of years back. The only thing I got out of it was sleep monitoring.
He literally just spent the last 13 minutes explaining all this🙄
It’s good for telling you your resting heart rate, calories burned etc. gives a more accurate display of your stats and let you see them yourself
Knowing the importance of good sleep and getting good sleep are two separate things. No matter what, you want to improve everything in life by 1% better and after a while, you can become even better. I used to have translucent curtains in my bedroom for years, then switched to black out ones, been getting way better sleep ever since.
Does anyone have an invite code to the THRST group as this video is quite dated?
Dope video
So nobody gonna talk about that transition at 1:08 ?
Wow a 13min add… cheers
I had an oura ring .. washed it in the laundry and it was donezo.
Forehead cystic acne at 32. This man's hormonal profile is that of a 18 year old. Incredible specimen. Shame the hair ain't come back too
How does a wrist watch detect REM sleep?
It’s a gimic, sort of. They track it by monitoring things like heart rate etc, to “assume”. The only way you will accurately get your sleep/rem cycles monitored is by going into an actual sleep lab which uses multimillion dollar equipment as opposed to a wrist watch lol
110% agree I couldn't wear a ring whilst working out. Uncomfortable annoying
Benefits for your sponsorship
Most preferred the super chiseled format like a trite Murti type for BodyBuild Create look Colonel Hogan. But certainly - vibrant flowing Dynamicism deity-kind will up current.
Yeah, yeah, always watch for those feet and calve with you if you keep standing in one spot holding your gnannies. Unsure cookies them.
Nice video, but I downloaded a bundle on my apple watch which include autosleep and heartwatch. This gives an in depth summary of your sleep and of your heart rate throughout the day. So for apple watch users its really good!
How do you do this/get the bundle
You're the only natural bodybuilder our there that puts out good content. Thanks Mike
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤪
My Huawei watch does the same and tracks everything and is a proper watch
Minimal REM sleep = bad or mediocre gym days for me
Editing is on another level, well done indeed. Anyways... I get all this gimmick from my Garmin watch.
It's pretty useless for weight training since it measures cardiovascular strain (lifting exercises don't get hard because you're out of breath, it's because your muscles get tired which this device doesn't measure). If you do a lot of cardio, this is good. If you barely do any cardio and only weight lift, this isn't gonna be useful for that.
For sleep it's worth it imo, it's way more comfier than eg. a watch
I just ordered mine, I hate the subscription concept but what can you do. I average 4 to 5 hours every night. I’m excited to see what this will show me, and hope I can improve.
How are you finding it?
Oura does count steps
Oura does track steps bro
Dank's MIKE ! 💪🏽🤙🏽
I love the Ibiza comment
Was waiting for this, I hope I get to a point of being able to afford the subscription one day.
Decent review, thank you !
Man this dude is soo tanned all the time! What is the secret hire???
Yeah keep loving. Doing what the body does. Doing. Lol
