Warning!! I used this video as a guide to attempt a repair on my 2017 Honda Civic radio touch screen. Once I got all the way down to the actual glass screen, it was IMPOSSIBLE to replace the touch controls with a new one. The existing vinyl touch controls is sandwiched in between a glued control module and the outside touch screen glass. I considered using a heat gun to loosen the control module and then try to peel off the old vinyl touch controls. But since I have already cracked the touch screen glass, I am done with creating any more damage. The only way I see to fix/replace a 2016-2018 (the year range for my 2017) touch screen, is to buy the entire touch screen unit which is currently priced around $300.
Wish it would have showed what was happening right around 21 seconds in because one of the pieces broke when I was detaching those little pieces from the circuit board. Now the whole radio is broken instead of the screen
