What is the difference in a DO and MD? Can they work the same specialties? Is there a bias? Who are hospitals more likely to hire?

Do Med Schools care about the "rigor" of classes. Example: Physics is typically required for at least a semester/year Is it okay if I take a basic physics class that I will most likely get an "A" in or should I take a very challenging class where I might end up with a "B" with a slim chance of an "A"?

I just got accepted into medical school this cycle. I vividly remember watching videos similar to this one early during my undergrad and feeling intense anxiety about if the things I was doing was good enough. Now I know that it was :). Thank you for making this content for the entirety of my pre-med years!!

Remember kids, medical schools in Europe only take an entrance exam and cheap tuition fee, no need for a student loan that will cripple your financials for good

Ikr, mine was free with entrance being your 12th grade exams, I'm watching these videos and thinking that if I were in the USA I wouldn't even consider going to med school 😅 too much unnecessary stress, and can't imagine having to pretend I'm someone that I'm not just for those personal statements and checklist experiences that they need you to have 🤷‍♀️

Yeah but they'll need to take language class months before moving there since some countries like Germany, Netherlands, Spain, France, and others require a certificate of proficiency on their country's language. Only Malta, Cyprus, Ireland, and UK conducts their program in English. UK and Ireland are strict in GPA before admission.

@@kutchajoda-gulabbangawiths5188 actually a lot of Eastern European countries have programmes delivered in English. Eg before I got accepted to med school back home in the
UK I applied to med schools in Czech as a back up, the only caveat being during the first 3 preclinical you are expected to take language modules to learn the language so if you aren’t good at picking up languages quickly it can affect your progression into the clinal years.

This is just silly. You cannot expect to have "glowing" letters of recommendations from all your professors. In some universities, the class sizes are very large and therefore not conducive to you getting to know a professor well. I don't buy this idea that a mid letter of rec will significantly hurt you. Sure if it's a negative one, but I'm sure most LoRs that people submit are going to be generic/average.

Can you talk about post-bacc programs Vs special masters program SMP? I will really be thankful. I'm international student who studied undergraduate in my country outside of US, and I'm really confused and overwhelmed by the whole process. US medical schools asking to be gained the bachelorse degree in US or Canada, if you didn't, they require you to study atleast for a year or two in US or Canada (most schools who I checked asked for two years). So, after a plenty of searching I found the post-bacc and special masters programs, but I couldn't decide what's the best for me. "put in mind that SMP reqires to take the MCAT test before, post-bacc don't"

Sounds more like a hobby club for people from wealthy families to feel important. Like if just that many people want to become doctors, understandable. But, all this to simply say "I like people not having to go through pain with no hope alone", seems very excessive.

What do you mean by “be able to?” Just about all med students in the US do get federal loans. I’ll graduate with 400k in debt, but I don’t think about it because I’ll pay it down once I start working (for a long time lol).
But I do agree with you that all this debt is a joke!
