People just need to be happy Gohan is getting any attention at all in the story. After what they did to him with the Saiyaman crap he deserves something. Everyone complaining about this transformation are the never satisfied types. Nothing will be good enough for them. As for myself, I'm glad they have given him this new transformation. There was so much potential for Gohan that was just thrown away. As someone that was there from the beginning of Dragon Ball Z(started with Dragon Ball but we got those seasons in the US like a whole decade after they came out) I definitely appreciate it for what it is. I hope they continue to let him grow his powers and eventually take Goku's place as the most powerful Saiyan. Like he was originally written to do.
Gohan has never done anything beyond having a tantrum to tap into his power. Gohan is an absolute joke and is the reason why the buu saga exists.

While i didnt like this form at all, i gotta say the last few chapters of DBS and the fan theory that Beast mode is a fusion of his Potential Unleashed and his super saiyan rage boost is a very interesting idea.
Its still probably my least favorite Ultra form from the Z Warriors, but i no longer dislike the form 😅
It's just a clutch transformation. Just like Trunks against Goku black. In the end it will always be a Goku and Vegeta show.
You say that but the movie and Saga that involved this transformation barely involved either Goku and Vegeta. Heck, even DBS Broly focused mainly on Broly 😅
the ultimate/potential unleashed was supposed to be gohan's peak because it's litteraly all his power with no transformation how do people say beast is the result of gohan unlocking his hidden potential meanwhile he already unlocked it no once but twice I can understand that the elder namekian did it on small scale cuz he is not that capable but the old kai is one of the higest ranked gods and is much more capable and his method is way more efficient there was nothing more gohan could have obtained they should have kept it the way it was that gohan can evolve in his ultimate state limitlessly but ofc it isn't dragon ball if a saiyan doesn't get a new form to sell new action figurestoday we can say that the ultimate is gohan base form and beast is his ssj1 form which means gohan is his super saiyan form basically is stronger than Gods level opponents like mui goku and ue vegeta which are levels of strength even the gods of destruction struggle to reach very wonderful now gohan is just another broly since broly is his super saiyan can rival the ultra forms (green hair for was an addition from the studio for nostalgia) and now gohan can do the same thing damn bro if I was goku or vegeta I would've just give up at this point .the meaning of potential, potential is the power that is dormant in someone and you cant have certain amount of potential at a time it's not a battery you can refuel you cant tell me that gohan get all his potential out and he himself claiming that he is at his peak without transforming because there's nothing beyond what he is now and transformation will just be a waste of energy and appearance change without any multiplier in that case that is litteraly the point of ultimate so for you to bring a new form that's supposedly gohan laten potential beside the potential he already unlocked doesn't make any sense no matter how you try to justify it.
and the theory some people think is true that gohan combined his ultimate from with ssj2 to produce beast doenst make sense if combining super saiyan with kaio Ken which is a technique not a form would have killed goku instantly but he got to use it in the other world because he was already dead so how you think gohan can combine his ultimate form with super saiyan 2 and again if this is what happened then shouldn't gohan just go the blonde super saiyan 2 but stronger since it's used within ultimate gohan but nah that would be boring for kids and no one will buy an action figure for that so let's make a new form and say f word to the ultimate form of gohan and let's make his hair ridiculously big then we explain later the sales are more importants that explanation . I swear this what they been like even if it's true it doesn't make sense you can't combine the two how can combine two it just doesn't make sense for me and and ssj blue is a different case because goku and vegeta mix ssj god which is the basic level of god ki (the saiyan beyond god thing was retconed) and super saiyan but gohan doesn't have god ki so how how can it work how can you make a new form out of the mystic form of gohan which have been known for gohan to be he is peak even in base because it take all power in him including super saiyan 2 and max it out so what is turning super saiyan gonna do if it is already a part of the ultimate form and if this was possible and you can add the super saiyan 2 100 multiplier on base why gohan wouldn't have done that so long ago and he can turn super saiyan 2 at will it just doesn't make since bro and yes I agree with you retconing the the super saiyan of legends to a fomr than you can gain by tingling your back was annoying as hell bro it was the day where I knew db have officially fallen . and now they also made the ultimate form a regular ssj transformation since it also needs rage and gohan need to transform to get it so let's do some calculations in the movie gohan used ssj which is a rage boost since it also need rage then he used the ultimate which also needed rage and finaly beast which also needs rage . so in one battle gohan used 3 rage boosts so what does this mean oh gohan can just keep getting rage boosts untill he surpass the daishinkan and zeno, man what happened to dragon ball...
i appreciate that youre trying to give yhe form a more complex approach than what it is but the truh is we both what is the purpose of this form my freind .
no matter how hard i try to like this form i always end up seeing it as a cheap nostalgia milking asspulled form with all my respect to toriyama sensei i get it gohan needed a new form but this could've been done in a better way they're repeating the same mistake they did with super saiyan god and super saiyan blue they abandone a form with unique lore and a more complex narrative approach in favor for another less interesting one.
I feel ultra instinct should have been the natural pathway for Gohan's evolution. A calm, level minded fighter, the opposite of a raging animal. Now we are back to the angry, raging Gohan. Smh.
@treehugger3615 nuh gohan's evolution was never about being calm but what should've been kept the ultimate form I get it gohan needed a new form it's been 16 years but the way the way they did it was flawed and so cheap they could siad hey lool the rituals of the ultimate were incomplete and gohan get a new ultimate with ui sign like hair and aura that would've been so much better

Since the Cell Saga ended, DB has become less angry and more lighthearted I think the producers wanted to bring back some of the angsty, gritty stuff from before. And that where beast mode comes from.
