Thank you all! I read each and every comment, and although I can't reply to everyone, just know I appreciate you watching :)
I hope you have a great Thanksgiving, Miss Lydia.
If you do that video about the ads you've only recently seen, they did show the Simpsons Coke advert on actual Coke vending machines that had small LCD screens around the time it first aired. Though, I think it was silent. I remember just standing there, staring at it and watching in the middle of a mall.
Can you do a what happened to Ned's puppy? They used it for one episode and never again. Did he lose 2 wives and a puppy? Guy can't get a break.
GREAT THE SIMPSON THEORY WHAT DID HAPPEN TO SPIDER PIG
Australia amazon? 🥺
He went on to do whatever a Spiderpig did.
Golden
awesome
So no swinging on webs
😂😂
Lol
I always wondered how different the Simpsons would be if they kept Plopper as a recurring pet after the events of the movie. To me, had they done that, they would have written him out of the show or ignored him unless it was convenient like Snowball and Santa's Little Helper
Maybe he was turned into bacon?
I think the plank situation was seen differently for me as a kid, and I still believe my childhood headcanon. Basically, my idea is that Plopper noticed that the archers were about to kill the family and knew that if they stayed with Flanders, it'd just throw everyone into more danger. So he pushed the plank to the side to prevent the family from being struck with the arrows, sort of leading them in the direction of the sinkhole so they could be safe.
That actually makes sense and with seeing the clip and how just as they're falling the arrows fly it seems legit.
That was my view as well
7 year old thought he was tryna kill them so I always hated him for that
He went on to star in this little known animated movie, I think it was called “into the spider-verse”
Nice
Spider-pig into the plopper-verse
Across the spider pig verse
i think I've heard of that
I loved Spider-Pig's appearance in Puffless. Maggie riding on his back is just adorable.
Even as a kid, I remember thinking "if they are so out of ideas, why not just get ideas from the comics?
Even if they can't stretch a comic plot out to 20 minutes, they should try using comic plots in anthology format. A "Stories from the Simpsons Bookhold" series would work well.
And because most viewers haven't read the comics, the plots will feel new and classic writing
This
1:41. I always assumed he did that so Homer would not get shot by aroows.
Good point! Poppers a hero 🐷
@@TheSimpsonsTheorydo you mean Harry plopper?
I'd love to see the video on Simpsons ads. I grew up during the show's golden age so I have fond memories of many of them. There's even one that actually aired AFTER Lisa the Vegetarian where she's eating fried chicken, which I find amusing.
yes
great idea!
The French CZcams The Reg did a video on those! I watched it a long time ago so I'm not sure of everything in it but, yeah
I never really grew up with Simpsons ads, at least from my memory, but I've rewatched every Bart Butterfinger commercial more times than any episode of the show lol. I really love those commercials and I've never even eaten a butterfinger
@BB-te8tc That's hilarious! What company was that? 🤣
I love spider pig cameos. It feels very much like Stan Lee but Simpsons version lol. And I really loved the Maggie episode when he came back lol I screeched like a cockatoo when I saw him lol. I think him making an actual presence in the show is good for like 1 episode every two seasons or more lol. Not over use him but to remember him still ❤
What I find funny is that despite Snowball II first appearing in the sixth episode of the show (Moaning Lisa), over 30 years ago, it actually has had less major roles in the show than Plopper.
Snowball II has the episode where it saves Homer from the fire, I Annoyed Grunt Bot where it's "killed off" and the Coralisa TOH segment.
Plopper has had four roles if you count the movie, that poor cat lol
As someone whose introduction to the Simpsons was through the movie, Spider Pig has a very special place in my heart and it always makes me happy when he or the movie itself gets referenced in the show.
Oh and I would love to see a video on Simpsons commercials.
That song lives rent-free in my head 😂
🎶*Spider-pig, Spider-pig* 🎵
Imagine there's a 1 hour version
Does whatever a spider pig does
Yeah idk
@@ZOMBiFOX13 Can he swing? From a web?
@@Cereja-LuaLook out! He’s spider pigggg
He could be used in a Treehouse of Horror, they’ve done animal centric segments before like Night of the Dolphin or the Island of Dr Hibbert. Considering that bodyswapping hasn’t been used before, unless you count Bart and the fly switching heads in Fly vs Fly, maybe Homer could swap bodies with Plopper and take advantage of the fact he’s a literal pig to eat, drink beer, watch TV and sleep (in other words a normal day just in a different shape). Plopper in Homer’s body might be seen as Homer being a bit more Homer than usual. It’d be a more interesting take on the body surf idea Heaven Swipes Right used, which turned into Homer inhabiting various bodies for a series of punchlines and ends on a very creepy Moe moment. Homer swapping with Plopper could also take some inspiration from the Gravity Falls episode Carpet Diem where Soos bodyswapped with Mabel’s pig Waddles, or Disenchantment where Prince Merkimer turns into a pig in the second episode and staying that way the rest of the show (the pig turning into his human form).
The Spider-Verse parody missed a trick by not using Plopper as the Spider-Ham counterpart.
it sucks he's just now a minor character or background character,I really think they should've kept him as a pet, there are cartoon characters that literally have a pet pig so I don't see why they didn't take that route
Yeah i hate the fait or a new thing comes out and the next episode it ignored
I like how the Simpsons and Bob's burgers went to the big screen whereas family guy is straight to DVD quality.
It's been on the air longer than bobs burgers as well
@@mahlicaajaib5231 yeah even family guys DVD was a ripoff of star wars.
@@54032ZepolI don’t think you know what an homage is.

Homer Simpson: “He’s not spider pig anymore, he’s Harry Plopper.”
I haven’t watched the vid yet, but i do remember seeing SpiderPig in that episode with Maggie and all the animals
Edit: ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO 💪
I would love a video about the history of Simpsons commercials!
YES
I just rewatched the episode with Luigi and they never said that was Plopper. That could be a different pig
"He's not Spider-Pig anymore hes Harry Plopper now"
I like the idea that plopper is always there, just off camara.
A video about ads featuring the Simpson sounds great
The family should've kept Plopper as a pet. He and Maggie have a good relationship as seen in "puffless".
Genuinely surreal seeing old Simpsons content I had no idea even existed. So yeah the ads sounds like a great topic to explore
PLEASE PLEASE do a deep dive into old Simpson ads! I would live for that
I would LOVE a Simpson deep dive into old ads haha
Would love to see a deep dive into the world Simpsons ads
If he didn’t push the plank homer would have died.
Arrows can be fatal.
The more you know.
Based on how long pigs typically live, there's a good chance he'd be dead by now.
He's crapping in a silo and doing whatever a spider pig does with the angels now.
Waiting for the angels to dump the silo onto Homer' house 🤭
I’m sure there are a lot of Simpsons adds I’ve never seen. I’d love to see deep dive on them!
YES, I would love a video about the obscure ads. I am fascinated by the metatextual Simpsons stuff.
I would love to see Plopper as Squealer or Napoleon if the Simpsons ever parodied Orwell's Animal Farm.
Why am i not surprised you watched the movie again 😅
Yes a video on the commercials adverts would be good 😊
He's not Spider-Pig anymore, he's Harry Plopper~! I loved that quote lol
Spiderpigs ham senses went off so he knocked the plank off the window to save homer and the other Simpsons from flaming arrows. Truly a hero with a twisted tail.
A deep dive into Simpsons ads would be great
Ooh, I would definitely be up for a video about strange merch commercials!
Awesome video!
Puffless is my favorite none movie appearance of Spider Pig. The whole Maggie B plot in that episode was so cute!
I wish had more Spider Pig too Lydia!
Harry plopper!
Yes
Agreed👍🏿
Old style of simpson theory be like yeah I'm chill
But the new style you gotta help theres a demon in my house!
If u like my comment I will subcribe to ur channel just replied (I like comment)
Spider-Pig was how most casual Simpson fans & casual Marvel fans were somewhat introduced to Marvel's Spider-Ham. I'm sure some people Googled Spider-Ham after watching the movie, I know I did. After the movie, I started buying & collecting the Spider-Ham comics. Marvel did not put Spider-Ham into a main role until Spider-Man into the Spider verse
Great video, would love to see a video on Simpsons tv commercials
I would LOVE to see a video on all the Simpsons ads!
Please do that deep dive into Simpsons commercials. That sounds amazing.
Heck yeah to a video about the advertisements! And whenever the show references them, like that episode where Bart gets emancipated and meets Tony Hawk
I think Spider pig/Plopper went to an urban farm, Lisa took him to an urban farm where he lived happily ever after for many years to come till he passed away quietly and painlessly in his sleep at the age of 10 years old.
spider pig pushed of the plank to save them from the arrows that would of hit otherwise
That meltdown game, I loved it. I couldn't remember what it was called for the life of me thank you! You had to collect Maggies dummys (pacifiers if your American) and I can't remember anything else but oh my days the nostalgia is real!!!! BTW love your videos, I am obsessed with the Simpsons and your videos are *chefs kiss* 🩷
I would be very interested in a deep dive of adverts. Apart from anything else I want to know if there are any that were parodied within the series.
Crazy how I recognized your voice as being Lydia :O
He’s in the big Kruster burger in the sky now now 😢
I should really watch the full video before I comment . Good video.
Do you play Simpsons tapped out? Btw great video ❤
I didn’t know that the Simpsons did adverts. I’d love to see a video about them!
he's no longer spider-pig, now he's pig potter
That scene with Comic Book Guy. That's where you got the desk thing from
Can you do a list of Simpsons references or parodies on tv shows, movies, and video games?
I remember opening night of the simpsons movie me and my siblings went to our local theater to watch it but the place was packed so my sisters started yelling the spider pig song from the car at the people waiting in line 😂 we had to look around the whole city for a theater that wasn’t sold out.
We deffo need a deep dive into those adds
Great channel also Great see spiders pig is doing well
100% please do a deep dive into Simpsons commercials!
He helped Santa’s little helper and looky fix the dog house, and I always thought he was just in the rumpus room
I'm down for all sorts of simpsons related content from The Simpsons Theory
Awesome video
Even though the Spider Pig theme takes from the 1967 Spider-Man series, I heard the former first and still think of it as the original.
always wondered
Well keep him away from the black truffles🐷🐷🐷 he's made a few cameo appearances after the movie.
That make a lot of sense and I like ur comment lol
Honestly I always thought he died when the house got sucked into the sinkhole
Harry Plopper pushed the plank to save Homer.
id love to see a video about simpson ads, I wanna see how weird they can be
That's a weird thing that tends to happen with these movies based on existing and still running cartoon series. There's always a handful of characters that you NEVER see again, that are never mentioned again. Usually they have the obvious "this character was voiced by a celebrity" problem. The original Transformers movie being the exception, as that was to sell new toys and the new characters were recast with cheaper VA's. But, no celebrity guest star played any new characters, just themselves (Albert Brooks being a recurring guest star for the show, so he doesn't really count). Lisa's love interest was series regular Tress McNeil, and also was never seen again.
Anyway, anyone remember the early Family Guy where Peter was dressed up as Spider-Man, but they couldn't afford/get the rights to the Spider-Man 60's theme song and just did the Batman theme? I guess they had more budget/permission for the Simpsons to use it.
Futurama has shown this with the Hulu revival. In the second to last episode of the previous run Zoidberg gets and stays in a relationship with a character voiced by Emilia Clark, obviously pulled off because this was for a decade the penultimate episode of the show. Come the revival she’s not even mentioned even though there’s a Christmas episode that Zoidberg is a focus in and has a focus on family to the point Leo and Inez Wong are at their most tolerable. Marianne should have seen the variations on turducken (my favourite being the sewer one, where it’s an actual bird that seeks death by jumping in a pot of boiling water).
@@jbcatz5 It's obvious that the writers did NOT know the series would come back in 10 years, so they decided to give Zoidberg the happy ending he deserved. Of course, they had to go back to the status quo to make more Zoidberg jokes, so a very intentional case.
Yes to deep dive of Simpson's themed ads
I still have the Bart butterfinger bank I got for Christmas when I was little. I keep money in it.
6:22 honestly I would love to see that video
Spider Pig, Spider Pig
Does whatever a Spider Pig does
Ive wondered this for yrs
Lydia would u ever do a tier list of Simpsons treehouse of horror chapters not the full episodes but like the parts if you get what I mean
He's not Spider Pig, he's Harry Plopper XD
Yes review the Simpson commercials including butterfingers
What if plopper knocked the plank off because he knew the simpson family would save the town?
Well, the family dodged the arrows the moment Plopper shoved the plank.
Spider Pig is doing just fine. He reappears in the episode Puffless to help Maggie. ;)
He makes occasional cameos too on products. :3
Yes, please cover the Simpson Ads.
6:30 Yes
I WANT A DEEP DIVE INTOTHE ADDS (ps when I saw your channels name I subbed
Please do the ad video about random simpsons stuff. totally classic and more reason to watch someone who i trust about the simpsons
Would love to see a video about Simpsons ads.
You should make a video on all the ads
Please PLEASE do a video on those ads I need to see how much of this I remember.
Popper also looks a lot like the pig in Disenchanted
I thought I spotted him in one of the Thanksgiving episodes on Netflix
I would love to see Plopper face off against Springfield's A&M's Sir Oinks-A-Lot
Me too!
1:40
OR Plopper saved the Simpsons from getting shot, lol!
Has anyone noticed mr burns new voice for episode 7 on season 35
Oh yeah I never noticed that Plopper was the Halloween episodes but only episode 18.
The Las Vegas GP Circuit (for context, the circuit looks like an upside down pig) 😅
I liked Spider Pig, as a kid I always loved the spider pig theme XDDD
He’s not spider pig now, he’s Harry Clopper
in one of the comics he's called Ploptimus Swine
