It was the most capable failed system. Some games still hold up. I keep mine hooked up to my HDTV CRT. It looks like VGA basically. How it was intended. When it launched I was working at Blockbuster Video. We had a few rental systems. Chances are I had one of them at my house. I could afford 10 bucks a week at that time but not 200 at one time... Don't feel bad for me I was too young to care. Later on I got to buy my own when it was on clearance for $30. Pre-owned. Although I wasn't working at Blockbuster when the Dreamcast died, but I did pick up a lot of their games on clearance. It was actually almost an affordable computer. The online part was pretty solid. The web browser wasn't too bad. I'm happy that people are still very fond of The Sega Dreamcast. She deserved better.

I had a friend that imported a Japanese Dreamcast in late 1998. It was mind blowing. Great video , made me laugh
