I like how your brain works
hahahha
Lol
Drew Jenkins I love a good quote 🤣🤣🤣
Mr. Shaibel: You resign now.
Magnus: I want to finish.
Basically, game starts, Magnus plays E4. You Resign now.
I see what you did there 😂
Finish you off he mean

Magnus is like a boss fight with multiple stages, the close you get to beating him the harder it becomes
So true so cool
He uses just enough power to destroy you. Like a cat and mouse.
That's how GM of chess works, the less the pieces the more precise they are
Wall of flesh master mode...
@mister kluge yeah, less pieces equals more familiar positions where he knows what to do
"Why is he playing so quickly and confidently? He just blundered his knight!", says the guy who just blundered his own queen 😂😂😂
Yeah the guys who Blundered the Queen who is nicknamed “The Mozart of chess” and the current world champion.
I was going to make that exact comment.
You clearly didn't understand his comment at all. Magnus was puzzled because his opponent was playing quickly confidently and badly
It’s because to beat magnus, you need all your pieces.
I think he just blundered it purposely😂
magnus blunders a queen, also magnus: gets another queen in and wins on time easily lol
jose m
apparently it's called the botez gambit
Magnus queen gambit 🤣
Viki M it’s a 3min blitz game and he acknowledged his mistake and the other player couldn’t even capitalize on it so there isn’t a ton of room for criticism here my friend.
@Viki M yea in every Sport the Worldchamp still makes mistakes , so your comment is just unnecessary
@Viki M he's pretending to make mistakes lol
Magnus after loosing the queen: "Call an ambulance! Call an ambulance!"
10 moves later: "But not for me!"
Best comment!
call the police
me: queen lost
magnus: don't give up
always me: game lost
Need more practise bro
Me : ok, you win..
After watching magnus
Me : I will fight till the end
Moments later
Me : checkmated by 4 queens
magnus blunders a queen, also magnus: gets another queen in and wins on time easily lol
*game lost with 1hour time spent
The moral of Magnus' stories - always give up, even if you took his queen.
NickUA this is brilliant 😂
Always give up even if you checkmate him
This Magnus guy must be a professional player or something
Nah, this streamer is not even close to the pros, the world champ would absolutely destroy him

Who plays the Knight?
I want to see the GAMBITS simultaneously...
5:39 Magnus missed an instant win.
I saw it too woth the rook he attacked both queen and king
He wasn't expecting any more blunders and focused on playing solidly rather tactically.
nice spot!
Rc4
Good catch ... Rc4+ wins the queen. I think he was basically on auto-pilot at this point.
He didn't blounder his queen, he just wanted to try the Botez Gambit and it worked perfectly.
*Magnus's queen was captured*
Magnus: oh no, anyways
Underrated comment 😂😂😂
I like how when he clicks on a piece it clearly shows all the spaces that piece can be placed.
Very helpful for him I'm sure!
😦
True, other wise he wouldn't realise...
🤦
HAHAHAHAHAHA
Magnus can play multiple games in his head at the same time. Seeing clearly where his pieces can move isn't "helping" him. It helps normal players, but Magnus isn't a normal player. Lol to the thought that the world champion gets help by the program showing him where his pieces can move. Bahahaha. The dude can visualize multiple chess boards simultaneously... that feature isn't helping him at all.

:Few minutes later
"Sh*t he's gonna get a new queen"

Moral of the story: just surrender when you see Magnus
First, offer a draw ;)
Surrender even if you checkmate him
Lol
Even when i play with someone else?
One thing I learned in chess is that taking out the most powerful pieces don't mean you'll instantly win the game. With good positioning, trades you can win a game even losing every powerful pieces.
ginkobiloba: *takes Carlsen's queen*
Carlsen: "So you have chosen death"
Charlsen after his queen got caught:
"Oh no, anyway"
Dude won without the queen

It's blitz, balance can switch very quick if you are not careful.

You shouldn't. You never know what's gonna happen.
I’m exaggerating but I’ve done it couple times . It was basically a rage quit because I lost it out of pure stupidity and I was actually mad at myself.
I do that too. I play chess for fun. It is more fun to start another game than play a queen down and hope my opponent messes up. I don't care about the my rating, it is too high anyway.
Naa, its much more fun in a blitz game to play on, create weird situations and then win, even though being a Queen down. Only works on blitz and Bullet games of course.
In blitz I've lost my queen and ended winning by flagging my opponent (1% of the times, but it happens). And I really suckk at chess, so don't ever resign!
"dont give up even when youre a Queen down"
Magnus Carlsen, Worldchampion
Humble putting that out there keep grinding. Good content
"Apparently, I'm doing Scandinavians today." Too much information, Magnus!
magnus is such a nice trash talker lol. "dude aren't you the least bit upset about that?"
Imagine being that guy, no title, playing the world champion, winning by being up a full rook, thinking you are ahead because you easily win these positions against alot of chess players, even masters, and then realizing that you are slowly blundering away all your pieces.
Moral of the story: don’t give up. Said like a true champion.
“My queen is trapped” , but im still gonna win it . Magnus

This game was a so NORMAL to me.

He lost to Rosen that time though. Hehe.

i don’t understand, he could move the queen to F5, and if the bishop moves to G4, he can use the knight to capture the bishop
Yeah queen f5 or g6 unless I'm missing something
Edit. Nvm queen gets taken by knight on g6 but yeah f5 seems fine
listen to magnus' explanation "queen f5 loses to g4 so i have to give up the queen" ... he didn't say bishop g4
In fact, she could have eaten to move the queen to F5 so the opponent couldn't eat it so the queen is not trapped!

I thought that too, I don't know much about high level chess but maybe the other player could've taken b7 and then been an issue on that side of the map, i think holding the game in the middle was the best option for magnus but i am an idiot so idk

you probably watched it live on twitch or maybe you watched the full banterblitz video on youtube, they usually upload some highlight games like this one out of the full video
Was his queen actually trapped tho? He said if Queen f5, white plays bishop g4. Can’t f6 knight take if that’s played? after that the queen is free to leave on that diagonal now that that whites light square bishop is gone
It also looked to me as though the Queen could have escaped according to what you described. So was the Queen really trapped?
no, Qf5, white pawn G4, queen forced to move G6, Ne5 takes the queen, Carlsen retaliates with one of the 3 pawns and gets doubled pawns. he loses queen anyway but doubled pawns is worse

Best in the world!!! PPffffftttttttt!. I hate watching the end of pro matches. They give up too early. It is like their ego says, "I am done. I see it", but in reality, they may have missed something that they would have found,---if they played the game out till the King tumbles. It's like real life in the world. They don't take the damn king out and a new war just starts right back up again. :)
@@EarthSurferUSA No, Qf5 meets g4 loses even more material than giving up a queen for a rook. Pros know what they are doing, it's why they resign.

No then Magnus would lose because he wasted a move 😂
Him trying to pronounce Ginko Biloba was priceless.
4:06, look at the tower at the bottom, he could take that to D8, while the opponent would take the farmer that's between the queen and his springer (the tower that can only go oblique) which after that, he could take that springer with his own, while the queen can't take the springer because of the tower at the bottom.
