Thank you so much for uploading - it looks stunning and feels so achievable. I've got an ancient blue dragon to paint up that's been intimidating me for months and I finally feel like I have a way forward to how to paint her. Now if I can only find where I put my old makeup brushes...
So helpful! Thank you! I would love to learn how to paint dragon scales that are side by side that don't layer. Just an ideal for a new dragon challenge.
Amazing work! Thanks for sharing. Would this work with a zenithal highlighted model or is it better with a homogeneous dark base coat? Would also love to see the 3 hour challenge, particularly how you do the wing membranes and the interface with the scales. Gauntlet thrown! :D
If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the mini? I've started to prefer the ones that have to be put together, and seemed to be a good place to ask.
Nice work, I'll try to adapt it to my dragon. Question : why you're washing the brush in alcohol instead of water? From what I know it is horrible for the bristles.
This feels like frikin magic watching it! Wow!!!!
What has two thumbs, keeps cleaning his drybrush in water, and wonders why his drybrushing sucks?

Sheesh. I needed this, Chris. Thanks.
I still come back to this tutorial every time I'm doing scales. Thanks

Definitely interested in seeing a 3-hour challenge.

Looks great!
Love the video but would love a list of paints written if possible couldn't understand what the white used was but definitely love the job
I would like that. 3 hour challenge.
I have an old Green Goblin kit and his arms and legs are scaly, so I'm hoping this video can help me best tackle that particular texture.
Awesome vid. Subbed
Love it
Totally into a 3 HR challange
Is that all warcolour? I don't recoginze the first bottles. May I suggest you list the paints you use in the show section?
Those first bottles are creature caster pro acryl

If you look a few videos back, I did quick wings
I'm not sure how this would work with zeni prime. Might start some areas too light
@@SpottedPainter Might give it a go and let you know. I have a zenithal primed Dracolisk ready to go (Reaper #77379)

It's synthetic bristles, won't hurt it . And if I've been drybrushing for awhile without rinsing, water isn't gonna get it out.
I would never use it for natural hair, nice brushes thought
